    Samsung Galaxy TAB S2 8.0 SM-T719 devices are getting official Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update. Here is a very simple Step By Step guide to update the Marshmallow Update Manually on the Samsung Galaxy TAB S2 SM-T719 (Germany). Just grab the Firmware update using the SamFirm utility or SamMobile or Samsung-Updates website as provided in the below section and then follow the manual OTA update process to get the latest Marshmallow update.

    Before downloading the OTA and update the same manually, you should check if the OTA is available for your device or not.
    To check for the OTA Update, Go to Settings -> About Phone -> Software Update -> Check for Update

     

    DISCLAIMER:
    Manually updating the firmware will WIPE EVERYTHING on your phone. Make sure you do a backup using a synchronization application or using Samsung Smart Switch or if you have TWRP installed then you can take a NANDROID backup using the TWRP itself.     Make Sure You have already done the below:
    Make sure that you have already downloaded all of the above mentioned files and done the following things:

    • Installed Samsung USB driver for your phone
    • Installed the ODIN application on your Windows PC
    • Enable OEM Unlock on your phone- In some newer Samsung phones like: Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ and later, you need to enable OEM Unlock option in Developer Options.- By default the Developer Options is hidden and you need to enable the Developer Options first. Go to the below link (the link will open in a new window), enable Developer options and come back to this page:
      How To Enable Developer Options– Now when you have enabled the Developer Options, go to the Developer Options and then enable the OEM Unlock option.

    HOW INSTALL TWRP 3.2.2 ON Galaxy A6 USING ODIN:

      1. Connect the Galaxy A6 to the PC using the USB cable and install required Samsung USB driver

     

      1. Restart the Galaxy A6 phone into download mode in order to install TWRP for Galaxy A6 using the ODIN application.
        Press and hold the below three buttons until you see a WARNING SCREEN! to enter into the Download mode:
        Volume DOWN key + Power key + Home key
        When you see the WARNING SCREEN press the volume UP key to continue into the Download mode.

     

      1. Open the ODIN application on your Windows PC and see the device is already connected
        – At this moment I believe your phone is already connected to the PC, if not, then Connect your phone (while it is still in the download mode) to the PC using a USB cable.
        – ODIN will show an Added! message on the message box with a port number on the top left screen of ODIN application.TROUBLESHOOTING:
        – If you don’t see an Added message and a port number, then try uninstall and re-install the Samsung Driver.
        – Try a different USB driver or Install Samsung Kies to install default Samsung Drivers.

      1. Then click on the AP button on the ODIN application and select the TWRP 3.2.2 for Galaxy A6 which might be in .tar or tar.md5 file extension

    Well, this isn’t it. You can install customized themes, sound mods, Xposed modules etc. after installing the TWRP on Galaxy A6.
    But before you can use the TWRP on Galaxy A6, you have to bypass the RMM lock.
    Follow the below step by step instructions to bypass RMM lock on Galaxy A6.

    How to flash RMM bypass zip on Galaxy A6 using TWRP 3.2.2 recovery:

    1. Restart the Galaxy A6 to boot into TWRP recovery.
    2. You need to decrypt the /data partition on the Galaxy A6- Go to Wipe>Format Data and follow the on-screen instructions.
    3. When /data partition is wiped, go the the TWRP home screen and reboot into TWRP recovery.
      – This time the /data partition would be mounted by TWRP. [THIS IS IMPORTANT]
    4. Now download and copy the no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip and RMM bypass.zip file to Galaxy A6. (You can download the files from the above downloads section)
    5. Then, Select the Install from TWRP home screen, then select the no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip file and RMM bypass zip file from the file browser.
    6. Flash or install both the zip file on Galaxy A6, by Sliding the Swipe to Confirm Flash on TWRP screen.Here is a screenshot how to flash the SuperSU ROOT (you replace with RMM patch) for Galaxy A6 via TWRP:

    Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge SM-G935F devices are getting official Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update. Here is a very simple Step By Step guide to update the Marshmallow Update Manually on the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge SM-G935F (Netherlands, Vodafone). Just grab the Firmware update using the SamFirm utility or SamMobile or Samsung-Updates website as provided in the below section and then follow the manual OTA update process to get the latest Marshmallow update.

    Before downloading the OTA and update the same manually, you should check if the OTA is available for your device or not.
    To check for the OTA Update, Go to Settings -> About Phone -> Software Update -> Check for Update

    5. Then install the Android Pie MindTheGapps for LineageOS 16 package.

    6. Reboot and Enjoy the Galaxy S5 LineageOS 16 Android 9 Pie ROM.

    Upgrading a new version of LineageOS 16 for Galaxy S5 (klte):

    1. Copy the latest ROM zip file of LineageOS 16 for Galaxy S5, LineageOS 16 GApps and/or Magisk ROOT package to the phone
    2. Boot into Recovery.
      – Make sure you have a latest custom Recovery that should be able to flash the LineageOS 16 ROM update.
    3. Format or wipe the system partition from the custom recovery menu.
    4. Install the LineageOS 16 ROM for Galaxy S5.

    5. Reboot and see you have the GApps and ROOT access or NOT.- Gapps is built in such a way that it will sustain across ROM updates.
    6. If you don’t have GApps after upgrading the LineageOS 16 on Galaxy S5, then flash the GApps.

    7. If you don’t have ROOT after upgrading the LineageOS 16 on Galaxy S5, then flash the SuperSU or Magisk or the Lineage SU binary.

    8. Once everything is done, reboot and Enjoy the LineageOS 16 for Galaxy S5.
