    This Galaxy Grand DUOS Marshmallow ROM (Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow for Grand DUOS (I9082/I9082L)), is an Android Open Source Project (AOSP) custom ROM based on Android 6.0.1 built by developer pawitp. Nougat ROM has also arrived: here is the Galaxy Grand DUOS CM14/CyangoenMod 14 Nougat 7.0 ROM.

    Flashing guide of Galaxy Grand DUOS Marshmallow ROM:

    NOTES BEFORE FLASHING:

    • If you are on CM 10.1 or a stock ROM prior to 4.2, upgrade to stock 4.2 first.
    • Make sure to flash the recovery provided in the downloads section above. Otherwise the older CWM will result in a “status 7” error.
    • Make sure that you have a custom recovery installed on your Galaxy Grand DUOS. If not then download the recovery from above downloads section and you can follow this TWRP recovery installation on Samsung phone using ODIN guide for the .tar recovery file or else you can follow the Recovery flashable installation using another custom recovery guide to flash the RECOVERY flashable CWM recovery provided in the downloads section.
      This will delete all your data on your phone. You may consider to take a complete backup of data on your phone or take a nandroid backup. Here is how to take NANDROID backup using TWRP recovery.

      Points to NOTE on BACKUP:
      – Try to avoid restoring apps backup using Titanium Backup. It may break things up.
      – Don’t restore system data using Titanium Backup! It will definitely break the current installation.
      – It is also discouraged to Restoring Apps + Data using Titanium Backup.

    1. Download and Copy the GApps and Galaxy Grand DUOS Marshmallow ROM ZIP to your phone.
    2. Boot into Recovery. Make sure to have a Custom recovery like CWM or TWRP or any other custom recovery on your phone.
    3. Wipe data factory reset, Cache partition, Dalvik Cache and Format the System partition.
      – Here is a guide explaining how to wipe data using TWRP recovery.

      This will delete all your data on your phone. You may consider complete backup of your phone data or take a NANDROID backup of the current ROM.

    4. First flash the AOSP ROM ZIP from device. Then flash the GApps zip from your device memory.

    This ROM for Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus CyanogenMod 12.1 Android Lollipop is an unofficial build and the xda senior member andixlm and folks take the credit for this development. There is no such major hardware issues or anything broken in fact everything is working. Supported devices are i9105 and i9105p.

    Mandatory things before CM 12.1 flashing

    – If you were on CM 10.1 or a stock ROM prior to 4.2, upgrade to 4.2.
    Install ClockworkMod recovery with SELinux support. Older CWM will result in a “status 7” error.

    STEP 1:

    Copy the ROM and GApps zip file to your phone(By using a USB cable or via adb push command).

    STEP 2:

    Enter into recovery mode by pressing your device specific key combinations.
    Or else if you are on a pc with USB driver and adb installed, then type the following command:

    $ adb reboot recovery
    STEP 3:

    Wipe system partition, cache, data and dalvik cache

    STEP 4:

    Select the Install Zip from SDcard option.
    Select the CyanogenMod 12.1 ROM file, let the installation complete and then reboot.

    Complete the initial setup, reboot to recovery and then flash the GApps package and reboot again and enjoy Galaxy S2 Plus CyanogenMod 12.1 ROM based on Android Lollipop 5.1.1.     HOW TO INSTALL CUSTOM RECOVERY TWRP FOR Galaxy A8 2018:

    Make Sure You have already done the below:
    Make sure that you have already downloaded all of the above mentioned files and done the following things:

    • Installed Samsung USB driver for your phone
    • Installed the ODIN application on your Windows PC
    • Enable OEM Unlock on your phone- In some newer Samsung phones like: Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ and later, you need to enable OEM Unlock option in Developer Options.- By default the Developer Options is hidden and you need to enable the Developer Options first. Go to the below link (the link will open in a new window), enable Developer options and come back to this page:
      How To Enable Developer Options– Now when you have enabled the Developer Options, go to the Developer Options and then enable the OEM Unlock option.

    HOW INSTALL TWRP ON Galaxy A8 2018 USING ODIN:

      1. Connect the Galaxy A8 2018 to the PC using the USB cable and install required Samsung USB driver

     

      1. Restart the Galaxy A8 2018 phone into download mode in order to install TWRP for Galaxy A8 2018 using the ODIN application.
        Press and hold the below three buttons until you see a WARNING SCREEN! to enter into the Download mode:
        Volume DOWN key + Power key + Home key
        When you see the WARNING SCREEN press the volume UP key to continue into the Download mode.

     

      1. Open the ODIN application on your Windows PC and see the device is already connected
        – At this moment I believe your phone is already connected to the PC, if not, then Connect your phone (while it is still in the download mode) to the PC using a USB cable.
        – ODIN will show an Added! message on the message box with a port number on the top left screen of ODIN application.TROUBLESHOOTING:
        – If you don’t see an Added message and a port number, then try uninstall and re-install the Samsung Driver.
        – Try a different USB driver or Install Samsung Kies to install default Samsung Drivers.

      1. Then click on the AP button on the ODIN application and select the TWRP for Galaxy A8 2018 which might be in .tar or tar.md5 file extension

    Well, this isn’t it. You can install customized themes, sound mods, Xposed modules etc. after installing the TWRP on Galaxy A8 2018.

    3. When /data partition is wiped, go the the TWRP home screen and reboot into TWRP recovery.

    This is Galaxy S2 Plus CM13 Marshmallow Custom ROM meant ONLY for Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus and some of its variants, which is brought to you by developer GHsR. There is no such major issues on this ROM but it has some minor bugs which can be ignored and can be used as daily driver. Have a look on the KNOWN ISSUES heading for more info. Supported devices are i9105 and i9105p.

    WARNING:
    Installing custom ROM requires a custom recovery to be installed on your device, which may VOID your warranty and may delete all your data. Before proceeding further you may consider backup your all data. You are the only person doing changes to your phone and for your mistakes neither the developer nor we can be held responsible.

    – Runtime storage permission does not work properly

    Required files for Galaxy S2 Plus CM13 (i9105/p) Marshmallow ROM installation:

    CyanogenMod features native su binary since CyanogenMod 12.1, so rooting is not required as such. Here is How to Enable ROOT Access on CyanogenMod 13.

    Looks like the basketbuild servers are down since weeks. Meanwhile you can try the Galaxy S2 Plus AOSP Nougat 7.0 ROM.

    Galaxy S2 Plus CM13 Marshmallow Custom ROM installation guide:

    Mandatory things before CM 13 flashing

    – If you were on CM 10.1 or a stock ROM prior to 4.2, upgrade to 4.2.
    Install ClockworkMod recovery with SELinux support. Older CWM will result in a “status 7” error.

    STEP 1:

    Copy the ROM and GApps zip file (and the NFC destroyer for i9105 users) to your phone(By using a USB cable or via adb push command).

    STEP 2:

    Enter into recovery mode by pressing your device specific key combinations.
    Or else if you are on a pc with USB driver and adb installed, then type the following command:

    $ adb reboot recovery
    STEP 3:

    Wipe system partition, cache, data and dalvik cache.

    If you don’t know how to do this then here is how to wipe data using TWRP recovery.

    This will delete all your data on your phone. You may consider backing up your phone data or take a nandroid backup. Here is how to take NANDROID backup using TWRP recovery.

    STEP 4:

    Select the Install Zip from SDcard option.
    Select the CyanogenMod 13 ROM file, let the installation complete and then reboot.

    IMPORTANT:
    For i9105 Galaxy S2 users, (which basically lacks a NFC chip) flash the NFC destroyer recovery flashable zip file before booting into the NEW ROM.

    Complete the initial setup, reboot to recovery and then flash the GApps package and reboot again and enjoy Galaxy S2 Plus CyanogenMod 13 ROM based on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1. After this CM13 installation you may want to enable ROOT access on your phone and here is how you can do that:
