Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus has got the March 2018 security update G928PVPS3DRC1. Here is a very simple Step By Step guide to update the security OTA Update Manually on the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus SM-G928P (Sprint).

Just download the Firmware update using the SamFirm utility or SamMobile website as provided in the below section and then follow the manual OTA update guide to get the latest security firmware update.
 

Before downloading the OTA and update the same manually, you should check if the firmware OTA is available for your device or not.
To check for the OTA Update, Go to Settings -> About Phone -> Software Update -> Check for Update

HOW TO UPDATE/INSTALL LineageOS 16 FOR Galaxy S5 Plus – Android 9 Pie CUSTOM ROM:

How to Install LineageOS 16 on Galaxy S5 Plus for the first time:

Points to NOTE:

• Try to avoid restoring apps backup using Titanium Backup. It may break things up.
• Don’t restore system data using Titanium Backup! It will definitely break the current installation.
• It is also discouraged to Restoring Apps + Data using Titanium Backup.

1. Make a backup of your important data (Optional but recommended)
2. Download and Copy the LineageOS 16 Gapps and the Galaxy S5 Plus LineageOS 16 ROM ZIP file to your phone.
3. Boot into the TWRP custom Recovery to install this LineageOS 16 for Galaxy S5 Plus.

4. Wipe the data partition (or do a factory reset), Cache partition, Dalvik Cache or ART cache and Format the System partition.

5. Install the Galaxy S5 Plus LineageOS 16 ROM file that you have copied into the phone.

Upgrading a new version of LineageOS 16 for Galaxy S5 Plus (kccat6):

1. Download the latest ROM zip file of LineageOS 16 for Galaxy S5 Plus, LineageOS 16 GApps and/or LineageOS 16 SU ROOT package to the phone
   – TIP: You can download either from the link given on the above downloads section (or) you can download the file through In-built Updater App on LineageOS
2. Boot into Recovery mode to flash the LineageOS 16 ROM update.
   – Make sure you have a latest custom Recovery that should be able to flash the LineageOS 16 ROM update.
3. Format or wipe the system partition from the custom recovery menu.
4. Install the LineageOS 16 ROM for Galaxy S5 Plus.

5. Reboot and see you have the GApps and ROOT access or NOT.- Gapps is built in such a way that it will sustain across ROM updates.
