Install Android 11 on Mi 8

GApps
GApps are not part of this Android 11 build. So, you need to install Android 11 GApps to be able to use Google Play Store and other basic Google services.
Rooting
Currently, Magisk is the only thing that is actively developed and supports Android 11 rooting.

Google Camera or shortened as GCam, usually brings better images on your existing camera setup.

flashing Redmi 2 Resurrection Remix Marshmallow ROM:
Follow this if you are flashing Resurrection Remix ROM for the first time to your Redmi 2 (codename: wt88047), or coming from another ROMs or Stock ROM:
- Install the TWRP recovery on the Redmi 2 (codename: wt88047). (Bootloader has to be unlocked before flashing a recovery).
– If you have the bootloader unlocked but you don’t have a recovery then download it from the above link and follow the below guide to flash:
How to Install TWRP on Android using Fastboot. - Then download and Copy the GApps and Resurrection Remix ROM ZIP to Redmi 2.
- Now, boot into TWRP Recovery.
- Take a backup using a synchronization application or if you have TWRP installed then you can take a NANDROID backup using the TWRP itself.
- Wipe data factory reset, Cache partition, Dalvik Cache and Format the System partition. Here is a guide explaining how to wipe data using TWRP recovery.
- First flash the Redmi 2 Resurrection Remix ROM ZIP from phone. Then flash the GApps zip from your device memory.

– Try to avoid restoring apps backup using Titanium Backup. It may break things up.
– Don’t restore system data using Titanium Backup! It will definitely break the current installation.

STEP BY STEP GUIDE OF HOW TO DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL TWRP FOR Lenovo Tab 4 10:
- Connect the Tab 4 10 to the PC using the USB cable and install required USB driver
- Install 15 Seconds ADB Installer or Minimal ADB and Fastboot for Windows or Linux or MAC as per the PC you have
- Reboot the Tab 4 10 into bootloader mode and Unlock bootloader of Tab 4 10
- Then, on your PC, go to the directory where you have downloaded the TWRP for Tab 4 10 and then open the command console or terminal on this directory on your PC.- To open a command window on Windows OS in the current directory, press shift + Right Click anywhere on Windows explorer, or some folder. Then on the menu opened, just press the “w” key on the keyboard or select “Open command window here” to open a command window.
- Now connect your phone to the PC using a USB cable, if not connected yet.
- Enter the following command on the opened command window:
adb reboot bootloader
to put your phone into bootloader mode where you can flash/install TWRP for Tab 4 10.

How to Install Mediatek VCOM USB Driver on Windows 7 or Lower:
- First Download Mediatek VCOM USB Driver and extract the downloaded package.
- Now, open Device Manager on your Windows PC. You can open device manager in various ways
- Click Windows button + Pause Break to open windows properties screen. Form there you click on the Device Manager on the top left side of the screen.
- Or Right Click on My computer then click on Manage. On the next screen that opens click on Device Manager which is on the left side.
- Click Windows button + Pause Break to open windows properties screen. Form there you click on the Device Manager on the top left side of the screen.
- On the Computer’s name shown on Device Manager Right Click and then select Add Legacy Hardware.
- On the next screen that appears, just click on Next.
- On the next screen select the Install the hardware that I select manually from a list (Advanced) and then click on Next.
- Next screen appears with a list of devices. Just click on Next and move ahead.
- On the next screen select Have Disk.
- A pop up window will appear. Click on Browse.
- Locate the Mediatek Driver folder where that you have extracted. Based on The Windows OS, select the usb2sr_*.inf file and click on Open.

- On the next screen click on OK.

- On the next screen verify which driver you are installing (in our case it is MediaTek USB VCOM driver) and then click on Next.
- On the next screen just read the status of Mediatek VCOM driver installation and click on Finish.
