    TWRP for LG G7 (judy) is now available from an unofficial build and this post guides you how to install TWRP for LG G7 and ROOT LG G7 (using TWRP recovery).

    This TWRP is ONLY for LG G7 EUROPEAN BOOTLOADER UNLOCKED devices. Take a NOTE of this before you proceed.

    After installing TWRP recovery you can install many android mods such as GCam APK, enable navigation gesture, enable face unlock, viper4android etc. and many more.

    DISCLAIMER:

    TWRP Download for LG G7 and Rooting Guide

    INFORMATION OF THIS TWRP FOR Galaxy C7 Pro:

    – TWRP version: 3.2.1
    – Supported Android Version: Android 8.1 Oreo
    – Custom ROM supported: built against OmniROM sources (mostly AOSP ROMs are supported)

    STEP BY STEP GUIDE OF HOW TO INSTALL TWRP FOR LG G7:

     

      1. Connect the LG G7 to the PC using the USB cable and install required USB driver
      2. Install 15 Seconds ADB Installer or Minimal ADB and Fastboot for Windows or Linux or MAC as per the PC you have
      3. Reboot the LG G7 into fastboot mode and unlock bootloader
      4. Then, on your PC, go to the directory where you have downloaded the TWRP for LG G7 and then open the command console or terminal on this directory on your PC.- To open a command window on Windows OS in the current directory, press shift + Right Click anywhere on Windows explorer, or some folder. Then on the menu opened, just press the “w” key on the keyboard or select “Open command window here” to open a command window.
      5. Now connect your phone to the PC using a USB cable, if not connected yet.
      6. Enter the following command on the opened command window:
        adb reboot bootloader

        to put your phone into bootloader mode where you can flash/install TWRP for LG G7.

        If your phone asks for permission; such as “Allow USB debugging” then just tap on OK to proceed.

      7. Now when your phone is on the bootloader mode just execute the following command on the console:
        fastboot flash boot_a TWRP.img
        fastboot flash boot_b TWRP.img
        
      8. Wait for the fastboot command to install the TWRP for LG G7.
        Once it is done, do the stuffs you want to do with the TWRP.
    WAIT: IT’S NOT DONE YET.After flashing the TWRP, the phone does will not boot, so you need to flash the boot.img file again.
    To flash the boot.img follow the below guide.

    1. Download the boot.img from the above downloads section
    2. Reboot into booatloader or fastboot mode and execute the following command to flash the boot.img file:
      fastboot flash boot_a boot.img
      fastboot flash boot_b boot.img
      

    That’s all. You should have the TWRP installed on your LG G7. You may now want to ROOT LG G7 or may want to install some custom ROM or want to explore what else can you do with this TWRP? Head over to the following section to know more.

    What to do after you install TWRP for LG G7:

    • You can enable LG G7 ROOT access
    • You can install one of the custom ROMs available for LG G7
    • You can install some of the mods available for LG G7

    Well, this isn’t it. You can install customized themes, sound mods, Xposed modules etc. after installing the TWRP for LG G7.
    TWRP recovery is the gateway to many goodies for your phone.

    Now, if you want to ROOT LG G7 then below is a step-by-step by guide for the same.

    REQUIRED DOWNLOADS OR LINKS FOR ROOTING LG G7:

    • Make sure you have already unlocked the bootloader and installed TWRP for LG G7
      – Well, this is a very important aspect of how to ROOT LG G7. The SuperSU zip file is developed in a way to be installed via a TWRP recovery or other custom recovery. Stock recovery may not be able install this SuperSU or Magisk ROOT on LG G7.
    • Download the latest SuprSU ROOT for LG G7 or one of the following:

     

    IMPORTANT NOTE:
    • The LG G7 rooting will not work just by installing the SuperSU APK file on your Android phone.
    • SuperSU APK Free or Pro version is just a SuperSU ROOT management application.
    • The SuperSU APK Free or Pro app will ONLY work if you have already ROOTED your Android Phone.

     

    Step-by-Step guide on how to ROOT LG G7 using SuperSU or Magisk zip file:

     

    LG G7 ROOTING with a patched boot.img

    1. Download the ROOT patched boot.img for LG G7 from the above downloads section of LG G7 Rooting guide
    2. Install 15 Seconds ADB Installer or Minimal ADB and Fastboot for Windows or Linux or MAC as per the PC you have
    3. Reboot the LG G7 to fastboot mode and unlock bootloader
    4. Now when the LG G7 is on the bootloader mode, just execute the following command on the console:
      fastboot flash boot_a boot.img
      fastboot flash boot_b boot.img
      

      While executing this command make sure to replace the twrp-3.2.x.x-xxx.img with the actual filename of the TWRP for LG G7

    5. Reboot the LG G7 and install Magisk Manager APK from play store.
    6. Profit! Enjoy Rooting on LG G7.

    LG G7 ROOTING with LG G7 TWRP recovery

    1. Download and copy the SuperSU or Magisk ROOT file to LG G7. (I hope you have already downloaded the SuperSU zip file from the above downloads section)
    2. Now restart the LG G7 to boot into TWRP recovery.If the TWRP is not persistent you may have to flash the TWRP image again and then copy the file from TWRP MTP mode or ADB sideload.
    3. Then, Select the Install from TWRP home screen, then select the SuperSU ROOT zip file from the file browser.
    4. Flash or install the SuperSU or Magisk zip file for LG G7, by Sliding the Swipe to Confirm Flash on TWRP screen.Here is a screenshot how to flash the SuperSU ROOT for LG G7 via TWRP:

    5. Wait for TWRP to flash the SuperSU or the Magisk. Once the flashing is done just reboot your device.

    Install the ROOT checker app from the Play Store and verify if your phone is ROOTED or not.

Official NIGHTLY build are automated builds which makes sure the build is not broken by daily code changes made by developers. NIGHTLY builds are not stable as compared to SNAPSHOT builds and may contain some minor bugs. Here is some brief explanation of the difference between a NIGHTLY and SNAPSHOT.

Here is a very simple Step By Step guide to update the G930FXXU1APGH 6.0.1 Marshmallow Update Manually on the Samsung Galaxy S7 Australia (SM-G930F) (Exynos). Just grab the Firmware update using the SamFirm utility as explained in the below section and then follow the manual OTA update process to get the latest update.

    Before downloading the OTA and update the same manually, you should check if the OTA is available for your device or not.

    Make sure that you have a custom recovery installed on your Galaxy Grand 2. If not then download the recovery from above downloads section and you can follow this TWRP recovery installation on Samsung phone using ODIN guide.

    1. Follow this if you are flashing CyanogenMod 13 ROM for the first time to your Galaxy Grand 2 phone, or coming from another ROM:

      This will delete all your data on your phone. You may consider backing up your phone data or take a nandroid backup. Here is how to take NANDROID backup using TWRP recovery.

    Samsung Galaxy NOTE 5 N9208 Malaysia devices are getting official Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update. Here is a very simple Step By Step guide to update the Marshmallow Update Manually on the Samsung Galaxy NOTE 5 N9208 if you are in Malaysia. Just grab the Firmware update using the SamFirm utility as explained in the below section and then follow the manual OTA update process to get the latest update.

    Before downloading the OTA and update the same manually, you should check if the OTA is available for your device or not.
    To check for the OTA Update, Go to Settings -> About Phone -> Software Update -> Check for Update

     

    DISCLAIMER:
    Manually updating the firmware will WIPE EVERYTHING on your phone. Make sure you do a backup using a synchronization application or using Samsung Smart Switch or if you have TWRP installed then you can take a NANDROID backup using the TWRP itself.
