    Installing Flyme OS 5 on OnePlus one (bacon):

    Below are the following scenarios how you can flash the Flyme OS 5 on your OnePlus One. Select the procedure whichever fits more appropriate for you.

    1. Guide for stock users. Locked Bootloader, Stock Recovery, No Root.
    2. For users with TWRP recovery

    Upgrade instructions of OnePlus 1 Flyme OS 5 for STOCK USERS:

    If you are NOT willing to wipe your data, then follow the instructions:

    1. Copy the Flyme OS 5 Zip file in the Internal Storage.
    2. Power Off Your Phone and boot into recovery by pressing power + volume down button while rebooting.
    3. Select English or any other language as per your preference.
    4. Select Install from Local.
    5. Select the Zip.
    6. Click on Install.

    If you want to have a clean flash, meaning you are ready to wipe all of your precious data (User data and all apps) then you can Wipe Data and Cache before upgrading or installing the Flyme OS 5 zip. This step will erase all the data on your phone and hence you should take a backup if you feel your data is precious to you.

    Upgrade instructions of OnePlus One Flyme OS 5 for TWRP users with other ROMs than Oxygen OS Marshmallow:

    If you already have a TWRP recovery installed on your phone then chances are more that you have a custom ROM installed (I am just guessing this) on your OnePlus One. So, I will recommend you to go for a clean flash.

    1. Copy the Oxygen OS Flyme OS 5 Zip file to the Internal Storage of your phone.
    2. Power Off Your Phone and boot into recovery by pressing power + volume down button while rebooting.
    3. Wipe -> Advcanced Wipe -> Select Dalvik, System, Data, Cache -> Swipe to wipe everything.
    4. Go to TWRP Home. Select Install. Select Flyme OS 5 Zip. Swipe to Install.

    If you don’t want to clean flash then you can SKIP the STEP 3 and simply install the Flyme OS 5. This is your choice, don’t blame if you face any weird problems or any crash after dirty flash. Anyways, have fun and enjoy the latest update.

    How to Install TWRP and ROOT OnePlus 6

    TWRP RECOVERY DOWNLOAD FOR OnePlus 6, OTHER DOWNLOADS AND REQUIRED GUIDES:

     

    STEP BY STEP GUIDE OF HOW TO INSTALL TWRP RECOVERY ON OnePlus 6:

     

    1. Connect the OnePlus 6 to the PC using the USB cable and install required USB driver
    2. Install 15 Seconds ADB Installer or Minimal ADB and Fastboot for Windows or Linux or MAC as per the PC you have
    3. Unlock bootloaader of OnePlus 6
    4. Then, on your PC, go to the directory where you have downloaded the TWRP recovery for OnePlus 6 and then open the command console or terminal on this directory on your PC.- To open a command window on Windows OS in the current directory, press shift + Right Click anywhere on Windows explorer, or some folder. Then on the menu opened, just press the “w” key on the keyboard or select “Open command window here” to open a command window.
    5. Now connect your phone to the PC using a USB cable, if not connected yet.
    6. Enter the following command on the opened command window:
      adb reboot bootloader

      to put your phone into bootloader mode where you can flash/install TWRP recovery on OnePlus 6.
      If your phone asks for permission; such as “Allow USB debugging” then just tap on OK to proceed.

    7. Now when your phone is on the bootloader mode just execute the following command on the console:
      fastboot flash boot_a twrp.img
      fastboot flash boot_b twrp.img
    8. Wait for the fastboot command to install TWRP on OnePlus 6.Once the flash has completed, Manually boot it into recovery by pressing the Vol Button for a couple of times till you see recovery in red at the top and then hit the power button to reboot to recovery and use your password/pattern/pin to decrypt the storage.
    9. After decryption of data, use the right tab to select English as you language & swipe to continue.
    10. Select Install Menu and Install img > Select partition to flash Image as boot and then Select the stock boot.img provided on the download package
    11. Then flash the TWRPWorkingInstaller.zip package to remove the lag
    12. Then flash the TWRP-Blue-Fix.zip package to bring TWRP to default blue color.

    That’s all.

    What to do after you install TWRP for OnePlus 6:

    Well, this isn’t it. You can install customized themes, sound mods, Xposed modules etc. after installing the TWRP on OnePlus 6.
    TWRP recovery is the gateway to many goodies for your phone.

    Now, if you want to ROOT OnePlus 6 then below is a step-by-step by guide for the same.

    REQUIRED DOWNLOADS OR GUIDES FOR OnePlus 6 ROOTING:

    • Make sure you have already unlocked the bootloader and installed TWRP recovery on OnePlus 6
      – Well, this is a very important aspect of this SuperSU ROOT process. The SuperSU zip file is developed in a way to be installed via a TWRP recovery or other custom recovery. Stock recovery may not be able install this SuperSU or Magisk ROOT zip file.
    • Download the latest SuprSU ROOT for OnePlus 6 or one of the following:

     

    IMPORTANT NOTE:
    • Your phone will not be rooted just by installing the SuperSU APK file on your Android phone.
    • SuperSU APK Free or Pro version is just a SuperSU ROOT management application.
    • The SuperSU APK Free or Pro app will ONLY work if you have already ROOTED your Android Phone.

     

    Step-by-Step guide on how to ROOT OnePlus 6 using SuperSU or Magisk zip file:

     

    1. Download and copy the SuperSU or Magisk or the Root.zip (from the OP6 TWRP.rar package) file to OnePlus 6. (I hope you have already downloaded one of the root zip file from the above downloads section)
    2. Now restart the OnePlus 6 to boot into TWRP recovery.
    3. Then, Select the Install from TWRP home screen, then select the SuperSU ROOT zip file from the file browser.
    4. Flash or install the SuperSU or Magisk zip file or the Root.zip file provided in the OP6 TWRP.rar, by Sliding the Swipe to Confirm Flash on TWRP screen.
    5. Wait for TWRP to flash the Root package. Once the flashing is done just reboot your device.
    6. Profit!!! You should now have ROOT on OnePlus 6.

    How to check if ROOT is enabled on OnePlus 6 or NOT?

    Install the ROOT checker app from the Play Store and verify if your phone is ROOTED or not.

    Preparing to Install Android 11

    It is not a straight forward task like installing an APK file on Android. Follow this guide to prepare the phone and make the necessary system setup.

    • First, download and install the latest fastboot utility.

    • then, Unlock the bootloader of OnePlus 7 Pro
      Reboot your phone to fastboot mode, connect to PC and then execute the below command on a command or terminal window:
      fastboot oem unlock

    Installing Android 11 on OnePlus 7 Pro

    1. Download and extract the Android 11 GSI, the vbmeta and the boot image file and keep it in your PC.
    2. Boot into the bootloader mode

    3. Disable vbmeta by executing the below command on a command prompt or a terminal:
      fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta-op7-11-gsi.img
    4. Flash the Android 11 system image by executing the below command on a command prompt or a terminal:
      fastboot flash system_a system.img
    5. Flash the modified boot image using the below fastboot command on a command prompt or a terminal:
      fastboot flash boot_a boot-op7-11-gsi.img
    6. Select the slot_a as the active slot
      fastboot set_active a
    7. Erase and format the user data partition
      fastboot erase userdata
      fastboot format userdata
    8. Once done reboot the phone normally
