    HOW TO INSTALL CUSTOM RECOVERY TWRP FOR Galaxy M20:

    Make Sure You have already done the below:
    Make sure that you have already downloaded all of the above mentioned files and done the following things:

    • Installed Samsung USB driver for your phone
    • Installed the ODIN application on your Windows PC
    • Enable OEM Unlock on your phone- In some newer Samsung phones like: Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ and later, you need to enable OEM Unlock option in Developer Options.

      – By default the Developer Options is hidden and you need to enable the Developer Options first. Go to the below link (the link will open in a new window), enable Developer options and come back to this page:

      – Now when you have enabled the Developer Options, go to the Developer Options and then enable the OEM Unlock option.

    HOW INSTALL TWRP ON Galaxy M20 USING ODIN:

    1. Connect the Galaxy M20 to the PC using the USB cable and install required Samsung USB driver

      2.  

    2. Restart the Galaxy M20 phone into download mode in order to install TWRP for Galaxy M20 using the ODIN application.
      Press and hold the below three buttons until you see a WARNING SCREEN! to enter into the Download mode:
      Volume DOWN key + Bixby Button
      When you see the WARNING SCREEN press the volume UP key to continue into the Download mode.

    3. Open the ODIN application on your Windows PC and see the device is already connected
      – At this moment I believe your phone is already connected to the PC, if not, then Connect your phone (while it is still in the download mode) to the PC using a USB cable.
      – ODIN will show an Added! message on the message box with a port number on the top left screen of ODIN application.

      TROUBLESHOOTING:
      – If you don’t see an Added message and a port number, then try uninstall and re-install the Samsung Driver.
      – Try a different USB driver or Install Samsung Kies to install default Samsung Drivers.

    4. Then click on the AP button on the ODIN application and select the TWRP for Galaxy M20 which might be in .tar file extension
       

      Click on the AP button (PDA in many Odin versions) and select the TWRP recovery for Galaxy M20

      Make sure only the Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time are checked and all other boxes are un-checked.

      – If you see a FAIL message on the screen then read the log on the left side of the ODIN application and try to FIX the ERROR.

    What to do after you install TWRP for Galaxy M20:

    Now your Samsung Galaxy M20 is installed with the TWRP recovery and you may disconnect your phone. Here are some more guides using the TWRP recovery:

    Well, this isn’t it. You can install customized themes, sound mods, Xposed modules etc. after installing the TWRP on Galaxy M20.
    But before you can use the TWRP on Galaxy M20, you have to bypass the RMM lock.

    How to flash RMM bypass zip on Galaxy M20 using TWRP:

    1. Restart the Galaxy M20 to boot into TWRP recovery.
    2. You need to decrypt the /data partition on the Galaxy M20

      – Go to Wipe>Format Data and follow the on-screen instructions.

    3. When /data partition is wiped, go the the TWRP home screen and reboot into TWRP recovery.
      – This time the /data partition would be mounted by TWRP. [THIS IS IMPORTANT]
    4. Now download and copy the no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip and RMM bypass.zip file to Galaxy M20. (You can download the files from the above downloads section)
    5. Then, Select the Install from TWRP home screen, then select the no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip file and RMM bypass zip file from the file browser.
    6. Flash or install both the zip file on Galaxy M20, by Sliding the Swipe to Confirm Flash on TWRP screen.

    Samsung Galaxy S8 has got the March 2018 security update G950USQU2CRC5. Here is a very simple Step By Step guide to update the security OTA Update Manually on the Samsung Galaxy S8 SM-G950U (US Carriers).

    Just download the Firmware update using the SamFirm utility or SamMobile website as provided in the below section and then follow the manual OTA update guide to get the latest security firmware update.
     

    Galaxy S8 G950USQU2CRC5 March 2018 Update

    Before downloading the OTA and update the same manually, you should check if the firmware OTA is available for your device or not.
    To check for the OTA Update, Go to Settings -> About Phone -> Software Update -> Check for Update

     

    DISCLAIMER:
    Manually updating the firmware will WIPE EVERYTHING on your phone. Make sure you do a backup of your phone or backup using Samsung Smart Switch or if you have TWRP installed then you can take a NANDROID backup using the TWRP.

    HOW TO UPDATE/INSTALL LineageOS 16 FOR Galaxy J Docomo – Android 9 Pie CUSTOM ROM:

    Flashing LineageOS 16 on Galaxy J Docomo for the first time:

    • Try to avoid restoring apps backup using Titanium Backup. It may break things up.
    • Don’t restore system data using Titanium Backup! It will definitely break the current installation.

    1. Download and Copy the LineageOS 16 Gapps and the Galaxy J Docomo LineageOS 16 ROM ZIP file to your phone.
    2. Boot into the TWRP custom Recovery to install this LineageOS 16 for Galaxy J Docomo.

    3. Wipe the data partition (or do a factory reset), Cache partition, Dalvik Cache or ART cache and Format the System partition.

    Upgrading a new version of LineageOS 16 for Galaxy J Docomo (js01lte):

    1. Copy the latest ROM zip file of LineageOS 16 for Galaxy J Docomo, LineageOS 16 GApps and/or Magisk ROOT package to the phone
    2. Boot into Recovery.
      – Make sure you have a latest custom Recovery that should be able to flash the LineageOS 16 ROM update.
    3. Format or wipe the system partition from the custom recovery menu.
    4. Install the LineageOS 16 ROM for Galaxy J Docomo.

In addition to this ROM we also have the Lineage 14.1 for Galaxy S3 LTE (i9305) and we also have the Android Nougat 7.0 CyanogenMod 14/CM14 for Galaxy S3 LTE (i9305). These are the latest builds from all of the developers with lots of bug fixes and improved stability. Current status of both the ROMs are UNKNOWN and hence I always recommend to have a NANDROID backup using a recovery such as TWRP or any other of your lovely current ROM so that you can roll back if you are unsatisfied of this ROM.     Flashing Galaxy S3 LTE CM13 (GT-i9305) CyanogenMod 13 Marshmallow Custom ROM:

    1. Follow this if you are flashing CyanogenMod 13 for the first time to your S3 LTE i9305, or coming from another ROM:

    Samsung Galaxy S8+ has got the March 2018 security update G955USQU2CRC5. Here is a very simple Step By Step guide to update the security OTA Update Manually on the Samsung Galaxy S8+ SM-G955U (US Carriers).

    Just download the Firmware update using the SamFirm utility or SamMobile website as provided in the below section and then follow the manual OTA update guide to get the latest security firmware update.

    Before downloading the OTA and update the same manually, you should check if the firmware OTA is available for your device or not.
    To check for the OTA Update, Go to Settings -> About Phone -> Software Update -> Check for Update

     

    DISCLAIMER:
    Manually updating the firmware will WIPE EVERYTHING on your phone. Make sure you do a backup of your phone or backup using Samsung Smart Switch or if you have TWRP installed then you can take a NANDROID backup using the TWRP.
