    About crDroid 6.5 based on Android 10:

    The crDroid ROM typically known as crDroid Android is a custom ROM that uses the LineageOS as its base. LineageOS base brings its own benefits, such as clean and secure code with regular security patch merges.

    crDroid is like LineageOS on steroids. Yes, it provides many more features, customizations, etc. unlike the stock LineageOS which is kind of a clean installation without much customization.

    This is an open-source project just like other custom ROMs which has 4 members namely: Neobuddy89, Firebird11, Gwiolf2u, Soubhik-Khan in the core team, and many device maintainers.

    The crDroid 6.5 is the latest version based on the recently released Android 10.

    Installing crDroid 6.5 for the first time:

    1. Download and keep the HTC One M8 crDroid 6.5 zip file, the Android 10 Gapps zip file, and keep it in your PC or copy it to the phone.
    2. Boot into the TWRP Recovery (with SAR support) to install crDroid 6.5 on HTC One M8.

      – If not then unlock the bootloader and then download the TWRP recovery from Downloads link and follow the how to install TWRP recovery guide (it’s a generic guide which will work for TWRP as well as any other recovery)[/su_note]
    3. Wipe system, data, and cache partition.

      – Backup data on Android

      If ADB sideload is not working on recovery, just flash the zip using TWRP or any other recovery.
    5. Then ADB Sideload the Android 10 Gapps zip file.

    6. Once done, reboot and Enjoy Android 10 with Pixel Experience, on your HTC One M8.

    Upgrade crDroid 6.5 on HTC One M8:

    1. Download and keep the latest crDroid 6.5 zip file built for HTC One M8 on your PC
    2. Boot into TWRP recovery
    3. Wipe the system partition from the custom recovery menu.
    4. ADB sideload the crDroid 6.5 zip file
      (or)
      If ADB sideload is not working on recovery, just flash the zip using TWRP or any other recovery.
    5. Reboot and see if you have the GApps and ROOT access or NOT (if you installed previously).

    How to Root HTC One M8 on crDroid 6.5?

    After installing crDroid 6.5 on HTC One M8 you may want to enable ROOT access on your phone and here is how you can do that:

    In order to install LineageOS or TWRP or root your Redmi Note 8 you need to unlock the bootloader of your phone. In this post I am presenting a step-by-step guide to unlock bootloader of Redmi Note 8.

    DISCLAMER:
    Unlocking the bootloader may void the warranty of your device and erase all user data. So, make sure that you are out of the warranty period or you are sure about what you are doing with your device.

    Also, make sure to backup all important data out of the phone.

    What is a Bootloader and why is it locked?

    In computing, the startup process of a device is called as boot-up. During this boot-up process, the device is unusable by the user till it boots-up completely.

    A boot-loader is a piece of software that loads other software(s) during the boot-up process. In Android this bootloader is locked to make sure no-one can alter what is being loaded by this bootloader.

    Usually a user can install a software only after the boot process is complete and when the device is ready to use. So, basically the bootloader software is not something that is meant for the user but to run the device. If not secured, the user may alter the boot-up process leaving the device unusable.

    Locking the bootloader ensures that the software integrity of the phone is trusted, meaning it has not been modified from the stock and hence used to provide or discard warranty etc.

    Before Unlocking the Bootloader on Redmi Note 8 / 8T

    Once you understand what is the bootloader and want to unlock it on your Redmi Note 8T then below are the few things that you need to do first.

    1. 30% or more battery charge (just to be on the safe side)
    2. Register for Mi Account (you might have already done it on your phone or you can do it now)
    3. A Windows PC with internet connection
    4. Download the MiFlash Unlock Tool (only available for Windows)

    Now, How to Unlock bootloader of Redmi Note 8 / 8T?

    1. First enable Developer Options on your phone which is hidden.
      [su_note note_color=”#D7E3F4″ text_color=”#728095″ radius=”3″ class=”” id=””]Go to Settings > About Phone > Tap 7-8 times on MIUI Version to unlock the developer options.[/su_note]
    2. Then enable the OEM unlocking and USB debugging options which are inside Developer Options settings.
      [su_note note_color=”#D7E3F4″ text_color=”#728095″ radius=”3″ class=”” id=””]Go to Settings > Additional Settings > Developer Options scroll down a bit and first enable OEM Unlocking and then scroll a little bit down and enable USB Debugging[/su_note]
    3. Add your Redmi Note 8T to the Mi Unlock Status
      [su_note note_color=”#D7E3F4″ text_color=”#728095″ radius=”3″ class=”” id=””]Go to Settings > Additional Settings > Developer Options > Mi Unlock status and add this phone to the Mi account on your phone.
      – Make sure you use the same phone number that you are using on the phone.[/su_note]The Unlock status page will look like the below image when locked and when unlocked –

    4. Now unzip the the MiFlash Unlock tool zip file that you have downloaded earlier (if not download it now and unzip) and run the MiUsbDriver.exe file to install the USB driver required for your Redmi Note 8T bootloader unlock.
    5. Then from the same folder run the miflash_unlock.exe program.[su_note note_color=”#FBF4DD” text_color=”#A38C68″ radius=”3″ class=”” id=””]Read the disclaimer carefully and Agree to the terms and condition to proceed.[/su_note]
    6. Then sign-in to the Mi account.
      [su_note note_color=”#D7E3F4″ text_color=”#728095″ radius=”3″ class=”” id=””]- Enter the mobile number (that is used to register the Xiaomi account on your phone) and then click on the Get verification code button to get a verification code.
      – Enter the verification code and then click on the Sign in/Sign up button.[/su_note][su_note note_color=”#FBF4DD” text_color=”#A38C68″ radius=”3″ class=”” id=””]There are only 3 attempts allowed in 24 hours of time. So, be careful while using this.[/su_note]signin to mi account
    7. The tool will verify for the permissions on your Mi account and take you to the next screen where it will ask you to connect the phone to the PC.
    8. Boot the phone into Fastboot mode and then connect to the PC using a USB cable.[su_note note_color=”#D7E3F4″ text_color=”#728095″ radius=”3″ class=”” id=””]Here the phone must be in Fastboot mode or otherwise known as bootloader mode.
      To boot into the fastboot mode first power off the Redmi Note 8T and then press and hold Volume Down and Power button together till you see the fastboot screen on the phone.[/su_note]Redmi Note 8 connected in fastboot mode
    9. Once connected the Unlock button on the application will be activated. Click on the Unlock button to start the bootloader unlock process of your Redmi Note 8T.click unlock to bootloader unlock of Redmi Note 8

    The software application may take a while to unlock the bootloader on your Redmi Note 8. If done correctly then your phone will have an unlocked bootloader after few seconds.

    Troubleshooting, if Failed to unlock Bootloader on Redmi Note 8

    Sometimes the MiFlash Unlock tool shows a failed message only at 99% of processing. or if the tool is not able to detect your phone at all etc. Following could be the reasons to looks at –

    • See if you have installed the USB drivers correctly and it does show in the device manager of Windows OS when you connect the phone in fastboot mode
    • or See if you have put your phone in Fastboot mode or not while connecting to the PC
    • Verify if you have enabled USB debugging and OEM unlock and linked your phone to Mi Unlock status
    • Verify if your account has unlock permissions.
    • If everything is alright but still it fails, then contact the Xiaomi support team or you can use their forum to seek support on your case.

Here we have AOKP for OnePlus 2 Nougat 7.0 ROM brought to you by developer quake73. Since Google released Android Nougat Source code, we have update many Android NOUGAT AOSP ROMs and also many CyanogenMod 14/CM14 ROMs updated and many are yet to come.

    A working mod of GCam or Google Camera for Realme X2 Pro is now available to download. These GCam for Realme X2 Pro are not be compatible fully but still works pretty good on some features with some manual settings in place. This GCam 6.1.021 for Realme X2 Pro is ported by Arnova8G2, Greatness and BSG.

    The available GCam ports are compatible on Android Pie, Android 10, and Android 11.

    GCam 8.2 is the latest version among other compatible ports listed below:

    • GCam 8.2 (Latest Version)

    • GCam 7.4
    • GCam 6.1

    The GCam 8.2 has multi mode video stabilization, seamless zoom feature, portrait night sight features etc. But in the initial versions, all of the features might not be available or might not be working at all.

    The older version of Google camera brings night sight, Astrophotography mode, HDR+ etc. to the Realme X2 Pro phone.

    How to Install Google Camera on Realme X2 Pro?

    1. Download one of the GCam apk for Realme X2 Pro from the above download link
    2. To install apps from a third party app other than Play Store you need to enable app install from Unknown Sources on your Android device.

      For Android Oreo or Pie version, enable Install Unknown Apps from the app from which you are going to install the Google Camera APK.
      For example: if you have downloaded the Google Camera apk file on Google chrome or firefox browser on your phone.
      Or you have downloaded and copied the apk file to the file browser and you want to install it from there.

      Go to Settings > Apps & notifications > Open the app (Chrome, Firefox or file manager app etc) > Install unknown apps and enable Allow from this source

      See the below screenshots that enables to install unknown apps on Oreo for Chrome app (you need to enable on the app from where you want to install the apk):

    • Go to camera Settings > BSG MOD settings > Input Model > Set Interface style to Pixel 2 and Set back and front camera to Pixel 3 XL
    • Come back to BSG MOD settings > Saturation > Set Back Camera Highlight Saturation to 2.0 and Set Shadow saturation to 2.6
    • Come back to BSG MOD settings > FIX > Enable Always disable Sabre
    • Inside BSG MOD settings > FIX > Image format > set to YUV_420_888
    • Go to camera Settings > Advanced > Enable HDR+ control
    • Go to the camera mode and enable HDR+ enhanced

    Android AOSP 7.0 Nougat ROM for Galaxy S4 LTE International (jfltexx, GT-i9505) is now available through an unofficial AOSP ROM update and this is a guide which explains how to update Galaxy S4 LTE International (jfltexx, GT-i9505) to Android Nougat 7.0. Since the Android Nougat Source code release, till now we have many Android Nougat ROMs available for various devices and also we have many CyanogenMod 14 ROMs. And now this time the Nougat ROM (build number: NRD90M) has arrived to Galaxy S4 LTE International variant which is brought to you by developer JDCTeam. In addition to this, we also have the CyanogenMod 14 for Galaxy S4 LTE.

    DISCLAIMER:

    • I DON’T KNOW THE STATUS OF THIS ROM YET. THIS COULD BE AN INITIAL ALPHA ROM WHICH MAY NOT BOOT AT ALL OR IF AT ALL IT BOOTS THEN IT MAY NOT BE USABLE AS A DAILY DRIVER. I JUST FOUND THE ROM AND POSTED HERE. TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK. ALSO MAKE SURE TO TAKE NANDROID BACKUP OF YOUR CURRENT ROM.

    INSTALL/FLASH/UPDATE GALAXY S4 LTE NOUGAT 7.0 AOSP ROM (jfltexx, GT-i9505):

    1. Follow this if you are flashing nougat AOSP ROM for the first time to your Galaxy S4 LTE phone, or coming from another ROM:

      Points to NOTE on BACKUP:
      – Try to avoid restoring apps backup using Titanium Backup. It may break things up.
      – Don’t restore system data using Titanium Backup! It will definitely break the current installation.
      – It is also discouraged to Restoring Apps + Data using Titanium Backup.

      • Download the S4 LTE Nougat ROM zip file and a suitable Nougat Gapps zip file from the above download link and copy both the files to phone.
      • Boot into Recovery by one of the following method:
        – Power off the phone and keep pressing key combinations while turning on your phone.
        – If you have enabled USB debugging and you have ADB utility installed on your PC then you can execute the following command on a console or command prompt:

        adb reboot recovery
      • Wipe data factory reset, Cache partition, Dalvik Cache and Format the System partition using the recovery.
