    HOW TO DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL LineageOS 16.0 ON Nexus 9 – Android 9 Pie CUSTOM ROM:

    Following are the two sub-sections of this LineageOS 16 guide:

    1. First time installation of LineageOS 16 on Nexus 9

    Follow this if you are flashing LineageOS 16 on Nexus 9 for the first time, or coming from another ROM:

    1. Download and Copy the LineageOS 16 Gapps and the Nexus 9 LineageOS 16 Android Pie ROM ZIP file to your phone.
    2. Boot into the TWRP custom Recovery to install this LineageOS 16.0 on Nexus 9.

      – If not then download the TWRP recovery from Downloads link and follow the Custom Recovery Installation Guide (it’s a generic guide which will work for TWRP as well as any other recovery)

    3. Wipe the data partition (or do a factory reset), Cache partition, Dalvik Cache or ART cache and Format the System partition.

    Upgrading from earlier version of LineageOS 16 on Nexus 9 (flounder):

    1. Copy the latest ROM zip file of LineageOS 16 for Nexus 9, LineageOS 16 GApps and/or Magisk ROOT package to the phone
    2. Boot into Recovery.- Make sure you have a latest custom Recovery that should be able to flash the LineageOS 16 ROM update.
    3. Format or wipe the system partition from the custom recovery menu.
    4. Install the LineageOS 16.0 ROM for Nexus 9.

    5. Reboot and see you have the GApps and ROOT access or NOT.

    Nexus 6 Android Oreo 8.0 SIX ROM

    REQUIRED DOWNLOADS AND LINKS TO UPDATE Nexus 6 OREO 8.0 S.I.X ROM:

    HOW TO INSTALL/FLASH/UPDATE ANDROID OREO FOR NEXUS 6 (ANDROID OREO 8.0, S.I.X ROM):

    Follow this to update Android Oreo on Nexus 6 for the first time or coming from another ROM:

    Points to NOTE on BACKUP before updating:
    – Try to avoid restoring apps backup using Titanium Backup. It may break things up.
    – Don’t restore system data using Titanium Backup! It will definitely break the current installation.
    – It is also discouraged to Restoring Apps + Data using Titanium Backup.

    • Boot into Recovery by one of the following method:
      – Power off the phone and keep pressing key combinations while turning on your phone.
      – If you have enabled USB debugging and you have ADB utility installed on your PC then you can execute the following command on a console or command prompt:

      adb reboot recovery
    • Wipe data factory reset, Cache partition, Dalvik Cache and Format the System partition using the recovery.

    • First flash the Nexus 6 Android Oreo S.I.X ROM ZIP from device and then reboot to recovery AGAIN.

    • Now flash the Android Oreo Google Apps package.

    Upgrading from earlier version of S.I.X ROM Android Oreo for Nexus 6:

    There is no inbuilt ROOT functionality available on this ROM.

    HOW TO INSTALL/FLASH/UPDATE CM14 on NEXUS 5 (CYANOGENMOD 14 NOUGAT ROM):

    1. Follow these steps if you are flashing CyanogenMod 14 on Nexus 5 (hammerhead) for the first time, or coming from another ROM:

      Points to NOTE on BACKUP:
      – Try to avoid restoring apps backup using Titanium Backup. It may break things up.
      – Don’t restore system data using Titanium Backup! It will definitely break the current installation.
      – It is also discouraged to Restoring Apps + Data using Titanium Backup.

    2. Upgrading from earlier version of Nexus 5 CM14 Nougat ROM:

    Complete the initial setup and enjoy Android Nougat 7.0.0_r1 with CyanogenMod 14 On Nexus 5 (codename: hammerhead). After this CM14 installation you may want to enable ROOT access on your phone and here is how you can do that:

    REQUIRED LINKS AND FILES FOR Nexus 6 crDroid 4.0 OREO ROM:

    Root binary is NOT inbuilt in Lineage OS ROM, so you may need a separate SuperSu package or LineageOS su (because crDroid ROM is based on LineageOS) binary to install to gain ROOT access. Here is Lineage OS Rooting guide
    If there is no in-built ROOT or it does not work for some reason then you can try SuperSU rooting guide to enable ROOT access.

    Follow this if you are flashing crDroid 4.0 on the Nexus 6 for the first time, or coming from another ROM:

    • Boot into Recovery.
      Make sure to have a Custom recovery like CWM or TWRP or any other custom recovery. If not then download the recovery for Nexus 6 from above link and follow the Custom Recovery Installation Guide (it’s a generic guide which will work for TWRP as well as CWM recovery or any other recovery)
    • Wipe data factory reset, Cache partition, Dalvik Cache and Format the System partition.
      – Here is a guide explaining how to wipe data using TWRP recovery.

      This will delete all your data on your phone. You may consider complete backup of your phone data or take a NANDROID backup of the current ROM

    • Download and Copy the Oreo GApps and the crDroid 4.0 Oreo ROM ZIP to the phone.
    • First flash the Nexus 6 crDroid 4.0 Oreo ROM ZIP from device. Then flash the GApps zip from your device memory.

    • Then reboot into recovery (don’t skip this) and flash the Gapps for crDroid 4.0 package.

    2. Boot into TWRP Recovery on Nexus 6.
      – Make sure you have a latest custom Recovery that should be able to flash the AOSP Android Pie on Nexus 6.
    3. Format or wipe the system partition from the custom recovery menu.
    4. First install the Android 9 Pie ROM ZIP file from device.
