    Final version of Android Nougat is released on August 22 and here is a manual flashing guide for the Nexus 6p. This is not an incremental update and contains the complete Android Nougat Official Final Released version (August 22) for the Nexus 6p. If you don’t want to flash the image manually then you can join Android’s BETA program to get the android Nougat OTA releases on your phone almost instantly.

    STEP by STEP GUIDE TO FLASH ANDROID NOUGAT FACTORY IMAGE ON NEXUS 6P:

    1. Download the Android Nougat Factory image for the Nexus 6p from the above downloads section.
    2. Make sure you have a Linux/Windows PC or a MAC installed with Fastboot and adb binaries. If not then you can follow one of the following guides based on your PC OS:
      15 Seconds ADB Installer or Minimal ADB and Fastboot for Windows or ADB Fastboot Installation guide for Linux or MAC
    3. Boot into Recovery by one of the following method:
      – Power off the phone and keep pressing key combinations: Power Button + Volume Down while turning on your Nexus.
      – If you have enabled USB debugging and you have ADB utility installed on your PC then you can execute the following command on a console or command prompt:

      adb reboot recovery
    4. Now inside the recovery, select the following option:
      Apply update from ADB
    5. Execute the following command on a console or command prompt to flash the Nexus 6p Android Nougat factory image:
      adb sideload <path to ota file.zip>

      This may delete all your data on your phone. IGNORE IF YOU DON’T WANT TO OR IF YOU HAVE ALREADY DONE THIS. You may consider complete backup of your phone data or take a NANDROID backup of the current ROM.

    6. Wait for the flashing to be done and then select the following option in the recovery to reboot the phone:
      Reboot the system now

    Nexus 4 Nougat ROM is available through unofficial AOSP ROM update and this is a guide which explains how to update Nexus 4 to Nougat ROM. In addition to this here is the OFFICIAL Nexus 4 CM14.1. Android Nougat was released on August 22 but Nexus 4 Android Nougat was missing and it is obvious because it’s almost 4 years old device.     REQUIRED LINKS AND FILES FOR THIS LineageOS 15 for Nexus 7 OREO CUSTOM ROM INSTALLATION:

    Root binary is NOT inbuilt in Lineage OS ROM, so you may need a separate SuperSu package or LineageOS su binary to install to gain ROOT access. Here is Lineage OS 15.1 Rooting guide

    If there is no in-built ROOT or it does not work for some reason then you can try SuperSU rooting guide to enable ROOT access.

    HOW TO INSTALL/DOWNLOAD/FLASH/UPDATE THE Nexus 7 TO THE LINEAGE OS 15 BASED ANDROID OREO ROM:

    1. Follow this if you are flashing LineageOS 15 on the Nexus 7 for the first time, or coming from another ROM:

      Points to NOTE:
      – Try to avoid restoring apps backup using Titanium Backup. It may break things up.
      – Don’t restore system data using Titanium Backup! It will definitely break the current installation.
      – It is also discouraged to Restoring Apps + Data using Titanium Backup.

      • Download and Copy the GApps and the LineageOS 15 for Nexus 7 Oreo ROM ZIP to your phone.
      • Boot into Recovery.
        Make sure to have a Custom recovery like CWM or TWRP or any other custom recovery. If not then download the recovery for Nexus 7 from above link and follow the Custom Recovery Installation Guide (it’s a generic guide which will work for TWRP as well as CWM recovery or any other recovery)
      • Wipe data factory reset, Cache partition, Dalvik Cache and Format the System partition.
        – Here is a guide explaining how to wipe data using TWRP recovery.

        This will delete all your data on your phone. You may consider complete backup of your phone data or take a NANDROID backup of the current ROM

    To everyone’s surprise, Android P DP1 (Developer Preview 1) is out and this is a post explaining how to update Android P DP1 for Google Pixel.

    This is a manual update process of Developer Preview of Android P for Google Pixel. Otherwise you will be able to get the Android P developer preview by enrolling to Android BETA program, which is not available for this update unfortunately.

    DISCLAIMER:
    Your phone will not get any OTA after updating to Android P DP1.
    Also, manually updating Android P DP1 for Google Pixel requires an unlocked bootloader on Google pixel phone, which may VOID your warranty and may delete all your data.

    If you don’t have an unlocked bootloader on your Google Pixel yet, then follow the below link to get it done:

    1. Make sure you have already unlocked the bootloader and downloaded the Android P DP1 image for Google Pixel to be installed, from the above downloads section.

      NOTE:
      The zip file comes in a package which might have similar to the following files:
      bootloader image: bootloader-mako-makoz30d.img
      radio image: radio-mako-m9615a-cefwmazm-2.0.1701.03.img
      The actual Android system image: image-occam-ktu84p.zip
      – scripts for different platforms like Windows and linux that will flash all of the images by itself to your device.

    2. Put the phone into fastboot or bootloader mode.
      – Power off your phone and boot into fastboot by pressing and holding Power Button + Volume Down at the same time.
      – Press volume up or down button and select the power button when you see the Bootloader mode. After pressing power button you will be in Bootloader mode.
      – And then connect your phone to the PC using a USB cable (make sure USB drivers already installed and ADB FASTBOOT utilities must be installed as well).
    3. Run the flash-all.bat by double click on the script file.
      For linux users you have to run the flash-all.sh script file.

      Wait for the script till it flashes everything.

    Alternatively you can flash the images manually with the following commands:

    fastboot flash bootloader bootloader.img
    fastboot flash radio radio.img
    fastboot reboot-bootloader
    fastboot flash system system.img
    fastboot flash boot boot.img
    fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

    You need to have a custom Recovery on your phone if you want to install Custom ROMs. TWRP is such a popular Custom Recovery available for many devices including Nexus 6.

    DISCLAIMER:

    STEP by STEP TWRP flashing guide for Google Nexus 6:

    The complete process will be split into three things as following:
    – Unlocking the Bootloader
    – Installing a custom recovery

    Unlocking the Bootloader:

    • Turn the phone off.
    • Then boot it into the bootloader/fastboot mode by holding volume up + volume down + power.
    • Open a command console and go to the directory where you have extracted adb and fastboot
      Type the following command in the console:

          $ fastboot devices
    • NOTE:
      This command will list the connected devices.
      If your phones serial number shows up you are good to go and may continue.
      If the phone is NOT listed this indicates that your drivers are not installed correctly.
      In order for you to continue you must configure your drivers properly so that your phone is listed under fastboot devices.

    • If the phone has been recognized by the command above, proceed to unlocking the bootloader with the following command::
          $ fastboot oem unlock
    • NOTE:
      Remember that this step will wipe EVERYTHING off the phone.

    Flashing a Custom Recovery:

    • Find out the appropriate custom recovery for your device.
    • Copy the custom recovery into the directory where you have kept the adb and fastboot files.
    • Now type the following command to install the custom recovery image onto your Nexus device:
          $ fastboot flash recovery <recovery_image_file.name>
    • Place the recovery image name in the <recovery_image_file.name> field.
    • Reboor your phone from fastboot mode:
          $ fastboot reboot

    Follow this guide if you are flashing Android 9.0 Pie on Nexus 5x for the first time, or coming from any other ROM of any Android version:

    • Boot into the TWRP custom Recovery to install this Android 9.0 Pie for Nexus 5x.

    Upgrading from earlier version of Android Pie on Nexus 5x (bullhead):

    • Copy the latest Android 9 Pie for Nexus 5x ROM ZIP file, Android 9 Pie GApps package to the phone.
    • Boot into TWRP Recovery on Nexus 5x.
      – Make sure you have a latest custom Recovery that should be able to flash the Android Pie ROM update on Nexus 5x.
    • Format or wipe the system partition from the custom recovery menu.
    • First install the Android 9 Pie ROM ZIP file from device.

    Final version of Android Nougat is released on August 22 and here is a manual flashing guide for the Pixel C. This is not an incremental update and contains the complete Android Nougat Official Final Released version (NRD90M) (Released on August 22) for the Pixel C. If you don’t want to flash the image manually then you can join Android’s BETA program to get the android Nougat OTA releases on your phone almost instantly.

    STEP by STEP GUIDE TO FLASH ANDROID NOUGAT FACTORY IMAGE ON PIXEL C:

    1. Download the Android Nougat Factory image for the Pixel C from the above downloads section.
    2. Make sure you have a Linux/Windows PC or a MAC installed with Fastboot and adb binaries. If not then you can follow one of the following guides based on your PC OS:
      15 Seconds ADB Installer or Minimal ADB and Fastboot for Windows or ADB Fastboot Installation guide for Linux or MAC
    3. Boot into Recovery by one of the following method:
      – Power off the phone and keep pressing key combinations: Power Button + Volume Down while turning on your Nexus.
      – If you have enabled USB debugging and you have ADB utility installed on your PC then you can execute the following command on a console or command prompt:

      adb reboot recovery
    4. Now inside the recovery, select the following option:
      Apply update from ADB
    5. Execute the following command on a console or command prompt to flash the Pixel C Android Nougat factory image:
      adb sideload <path to ota file.zip>

      This may delete all your data on your phone. IGNORE IF YOU DON’T WANT TO OR IF YOU HAVE ALREADY DONE THIS. You may consider complete backup of your phone data or take a NANDROID backup of the current ROM.

    6. Wait for the flashing to be done and then select the following option in the recovery to reboot the phone:
