Android 14 update is now available and we have seen some development around the same. This time it is the Android 14 for OnePlus 6.

OnePlus 6 was launched with Android 8.1 Oreo and was upgradable to Android 11; which means the OnePlus 6 will NEVER receive the official OnePlus Android 14 in future.

How to Install Android 14 on OnePlus 6

Below is the step-by-step guide to install the Pixel Experience Android 14 ROM on your OnePlus 6.

WARNING: It is highly recommended to install latest OxygenOS on your OnePlus 6 before flashing this ROM!

  • Download the Pixel Experience Android 14 ROM for OnePlus 6 and copy it into the phone or keep in the PC (if you intend to install using ADB sideload)
      • Download links are available in the below download section.
  • Download and install the ADB Fastboot utility on your PC.
  • Unlock bootloader on OnePlus 6
  • Download and install the recovery for OnePlus 6
  • Reboot the phone into fastboot mode (press both Power + Volume Up keys) and then flash the recovery.img using the below command line
    • fastboot flash recovery OrangeFox-enchilada..*.img (or) twrp..*-enchilada.img
  • Now, download Pixel Experience Android 14 ROM file for OnePlus 6
  • Enter into recovery mode and Wipe data, Cache, System and system partition.

  • Once done, reboot the phone to boot into Android 14 on OnePlus 6.

NOTE: This ROM already has GApps built-in. You DO NOT need to flash any Android 14 GApps.

Google Camera for OnePlus 6 on Android 14

Google Camera APK now a days is running almost on all Android phones regardless of OEM type. You can check one of the compatible GCam APK for OnePlus 6 from the link given there.
