    Follow this guide to Install Dirty Unicorns Oreo ROM on OnePlus 2 for the first time or coming from another Android version:

    Points to NOTE on BACKUP before updating:
    – Try to avoid restoring apps backup using Titanium Backup. It may break things up.
    – Don’t restore system data using Titanium Backup! It will definitely break the current installation.

    1. Boot into Recovery by one of the following method:
      – Power off the phone and keep pressing key combinations while turning on your phone.
      – If you have enabled USB debugging and you have ADB utility installed on your PC then you can execute the following command on a console or command prompt:

      adb reboot recovery
    2. Wipe data partition (or do factory reset), Cache partition, Dalvik Cache and Format the System partition using the recovery.

      This will delete all your data on your phone. You may consider complete backup of your phone data or take a NANDROID backup of the current ROM.

    OnePlus X crDroid Nougat 7.0 ROM is now available through UNOFFCIAL build. Earlier developers had brought the OnePlus X CM14/CyanogenMod 14 Nougat 7.0 ROM. Here we have crDroid for OnePlus X Nougat 7.0 ROM brought to you by developer Sarthak Narang.

    Since Google released Android Nougat Source code, we have update many Android NOUGAT ROMs and also many CyanogenMod 14/CM14 ROMs updated and many are yet to come.

    Installing a custom ROM on a the OnePlus X may require the bootloader to be unlocked on Oneplus X and a Custom Recovery on OnePlus X.     Orion OS Marshmallow ROM flashing guide for OnePlus X (Onyx):

    STEP 1:

    Copy the Orion OS ROM and GApps zip file to your SD card or internal memory (By using a USB cable or via adb push command).

    STEP 2:

    Reboot your phone into recovery mode by pressing specific key combinations for your phone.
    Or if you have a PC in hand with USB driver installed for your phone then type the following command to enter into recovery mode:

    $ adb reboot recovery
    STEP 3:

    Wipe Data/Factory Reset.
    Format system, Format Dalvik Cache, Format Cache partition.

    This will delete all your data on your phone.
    You may consider backing up your phone data or take a nandroid backup.

    STEP 4:

    Select the Install Zip from sdcard option.
    Select the Orion OS 2.3 ROM zip and then followed by the GApps zip file.

    STEP 5:

    Repeat the STEP 4 to flash GApps. Select the Install Zip from SDcard option again.
    Select the Gapps zip file where you have kept in the SD card.

    The flashing may take a while.
    When it will be done you can reboot your system and enjoy the Orion OS 2.3 Marshmallow ROM on One Plus X, the Android Marshmallow touch with Orion OS mod.

    I diligently followed the instructions at https://cyanogenmods.org/how-to-download-and-install-official-lineageos-16-for-oneplus-6/ to upgrade my phone to Lineage. I was concerned about the command “fastboot boot twrp-3.2.1-0-enchilada.img” . Other sites suggest using commands like “fastboot flash recovery twrp.img”. I am aware of the difference between Boot and Recovery, but assumed the enchilada version includes boot code. I was wary about writing to the Boot partition, but decided to follow the instructions.

    However, my phone is now locked up, displaying a message “the boot loader is unlocked and software integrity cannot be guaranteed”. It seems therefore that fastboot has corrupted the boot code and hence crashed the phone. I found that if I hold Volume Up + Volume Down + Power for several seconds the phone will reboot. If I continue holding them it opens Fastboot. From my PC I can run Fastboot to again flash boot, but the end result is the same. I have tried to flash Recovery, but it fails, saying no recovery_a partition.

    When the phone is in Fastboot I can run Tool All In One on my PC and from it I can open Recovery Flasher and Device Rooter. From this I can install TWRP 3.3.1 Q OP6T and it opens on the phone. From TWRP I can reboot Bootloader, but if I try to reboot Recovery I get the error message described above.

    Orion OS Marshmallow ROM flashing guide for OnePlus One (Bacon):

    STEP 1:

    Copy the Orion OS ROM and GApps zip file to your SD card or internal memory (By using a USB cable or via adb push command).

    STEP 2:

    Reboot your phone into recovery mode by pressing specific key combinations for your phone.
    Or if you have a PC in hand with USB driver installed for your phone then type the following command to enter into recovery mode:

    $ adb reboot recovery
    STEP 3:

    Wipe Data/Factory Reset.
    Format system, Format Dalvik Cache, Format Cache partition.

    This will delete all your data on your phone.
    You may consider backing up your phone data or take a nandroid backup.

    STEP 4:

    Select the Install Zip from sdcard option.
    Select the Orion OS 2.3 ROM zip and then followed by the GApps zip file.

    STEP 5:

    Repeat the STEP 4 to flash GApps. Select the Install Zip from SDcard option again.
