Android AOSP 7.0 Nougat ROM for Galaxy S4 LTE International (jfltexx, GT-i9505) is now available through an unofficial AOSP ROM update and this is a guide which explains how to update Galaxy S4 LTE International (jfltexx, GT-i9505) to Android Nougat 7.0. Since the Android Nougat Source code release, till now we have many Android Nougat ROMs available for various devices and also we have many CyanogenMod 14 ROMs. And now this time the Nougat ROM (build number: NRD90M) has arrived to Galaxy S4 LTE International variant which is brought to you by developer JDCTeam. In addition to this, we also have the CyanogenMod 14 for Galaxy S4 LTE.

DISCLAIMER:

• I DON’T KNOW THE STATUS OF THIS ROM YET. THIS COULD BE AN INITIAL ALPHA ROM WHICH MAY NOT BOOT AT ALL OR IF AT ALL IT BOOTS THEN IT MAY NOT BE USABLE AS A DAILY DRIVER. I JUST FOUND THE ROM AND POSTED HERE. TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK. ALSO MAKE SURE TO TAKE NANDROID BACKUP OF YOUR CURRENT ROM.
• I don’t want to waste your time and my time too and hence I basically verify the system/build.prop and/or updater-script to get the build details at the first place before posting any ROM. INSTALL/FLASH/UPDATE GALAXY S4 LTE NOUGAT 7.0 AOSP ROM (jfltexx, GT-i9505):

1. Follow this if you are flashing nougat AOSP ROM for the first time to your Galaxy S4 LTE phone, or coming from another ROM:

   Points to NOTE on BACKUP:
   – Try to avoid restoring apps backup using Titanium Backup. It may break things up.
   – Don’t restore system data using Titanium Backup! It will definitely break the current installation.
   – It is also discouraged to Restoring Apps + Data using Titanium Backup.

   • Download the S4 LTE Nougat ROM zip file and a suitable Nougat Gapps zip file from the above download link and copy both the files to phone.
   • Boot into Recovery by one of the following method:
     – Power off the phone and keep pressing key combinations while turning on your phone.
     – If you have enabled USB debugging and you have ADB utility installed on your PC then you can execute the following command on a console or command prompt:

     adb reboot recovery

   • Wipe data factory reset, Cache partition, Dalvik Cache and Format the System partition using the recovery.
     – Here is a guide explaining how to wipe data using TWRP recovery.

     This will delete all your data on your phone. IGNORE IF YOU DON’T WANT TO OR IF YOU HAVE ALREADY DONE THIS. You may consider complete backup of your phone data or take a NANDROID backup of the current ROM.

     – how to take NANDROID backup using TWRP recovery.

   • First flash the S4 LTE Nougat ROM ZIP from device and then reboot to recovery AGAIN.

   • Now flash the Google Apps package.
     – Here is a post explaining how to flash GApps using TWRP recovery.

2. Upgrading from earlier version of AOSP Nougat 7.0 ROM on Galaxy S4 LTE variant:

   • Copy the latest Galaxy S4 LTE Nougat 7.0 ROM ZIP file to your phone.
   • Boot into Recovery.
   • Flash the latest AOSP ROM ZIP from your phone and wait till it finishes flashing.

   • After that flash the Google Apps package.

   • Reboot and Enjoy

STEP 1:

I have in my possession an older Galaxy Note 10.1 N8013 that currently has Kitkat (V4.4.2) installed. I would like to update to the most latest version that this tablet can support, but I can’t find any discussions on the subject.

My question to the group is: What is the latest ROM version this tablet will support, and are there some decent instructions that my semi-technically disadvantaged mind can follow?

A couple years ago, I decided to upgrade my Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 (SM-T320) with a custom rom and used CyanogenMod 13.0-20161219 (Android 6.0.1)
I’m now looking at upgrading to Nougat (or more?)…….I don’t really care if the camera will work or not, since I don’t use it. Same for the flashlight. I mainly use my tablet to watch movies and internet
I’d really like to be able to install Netflix though, since it currently doesn’t work on my current version with CyanogenMod
I’m not an expert, but was able to install CyanogenMod – So i think it means it’s already rooted, right?
I’ve read a lot of things on internet, but not sure where to start and don’t want to brick it
-) what is the latest version to download (rom and gapps)
-) where could I find a Step by Step detailed method to succeed in this upgrade?
-) if something goes wrong, can I at least  go back to current version (CM 13) and continue using my tablet?

The Pixel camera or well known as GCam for Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus is now available to download which are brought to you by BSG, Arnova8G2, Zoran. The compatible google camera ports are for Snapdragon and Exynos variants which are separately mentioned.
