    Mi Pad CyanogenMod 12.1 (Android Lollipop) is an UNOFFICIAL custom ROM build. This Mi Pad CyanogenMod 12.1 is basically built on top of the very latest Android Lollipop 5.1.1. CyanogenMod is a popular custom ROM built from AOSP code but adds heavily unique and great features to give the user a great experience.

    Files needed for flashing Mi Pad CyanogenMod 12.1 ROM:

    CWM download link for Mi Pad (mocha)
    Custom recovery
    ROM download link [UPDATED]

    Google Apps flashable zip download link
    – Fastboot and adb binaries

    SuperSU ROOT package is NOT REQUIRED as the Mi Pad CyanogenMod 12.1 has it in-built.

    Flashing Mi Pad CyanogenMod 12.1 Lollipop ROM:

    STEP 1:

    Copy the Mi Pad CM 12.1 ROM zip and the Lollipop GApps zip to your phone memory (By using a USB cable or via adb push command).

    STEP 2:

    Reboot your phone into recovery mode.
    Or if you have a PC in hand with USB driver for your phone and fastboot binaries installed, then connect your phone to the PC and type the following command to enter into recovery mode:

    $ adb reboot recovery
    STEP 3:

    If you are using CWM recovery then, do a factory reset, wipe cache and in mounts and storage section format system
    If you are using TWRP recovery then, choose advanced in wipe section and wipe dalvik (If coming from KitKat), cache, system and data.
    If you don’t know how to do this then here is how to wipe data using TWRP recovery.

    This will delete all your data on your phone. You may consider backing up your phone data or take a nandroid backup. Here is how to take NANDROID backup using TWRP recovery.

    STEP 4:

    Select the Install Zip from sdcard option.
    Select the Mi Pad CyanogenMod 12.1 ROM zip and then followed by Google Apps.

    The flashing may take a while. When everything is done just reboot your phone, configure the initial setup and enjoy the beauty of Android lollipop 5.1.1 on Mi Pad CyanogenMod 12.1.

    After this CyanogenMod 12.1 ROM installation you may want to enable ROOT access on your phone and here is how you can do that:

    is this rom fully stable or does it still have bugs?

    As far as I know this is NOT a stable rom and it has some bugs. Wait for somebody who has really used this ROM to comment on this.

    Camera is not working on this rom. I have tried different cameras but in vain. it seems there is some drivers problem. Very slow animations while using and takes some time to open any app. Very laggy rom.

    Hey !  use Bdita 2.0 rom. best for mipad kitkat version.
