We have got a working GCam port for Redmi A2 and A2 Plus which was recently launched. Both the phones are targeted in the lower budget with a decent hardware spec and a Mediatek Helio G36 chipset.
With the advancement in the GCam port development, this phone is very much capable of running it but it does not have any great camera hardware to give you great images.
It comes with a dual camera setup, out of which the primary camera is 8MP and a 0.08MP depth sensor. The stock camera captures decent photos but not like this Redmi A2 / Plus GCam port. Try it and see the difference by yourself.

– Most of the stock camera apps have a pro mode, which does not exist on Google Camera mod.

How to Install Google Camera on Redmi A2 / Plus?
- Download any compatible GCam for Redmi A2 / Plus from the download link(s).
- To install apps from a third party app other than Play Store you need to enable app install from Unknown Sources on your Android device.
