POCO Became a Separate Brand and not by Xiaomi Anymore

Gaming Laptop Series

Is the title misleading? Not really! Well, this is what it is going to look like that Poco is a different brand in itself and will not be marketed as by Xiaomi.

POCO Became a Separate Brand and not by Xiaomi Anymore

In a recent tweet by Manu Kumar Jain the India CEO of Xiaomi, stated that Poco was a sub-brand of Xiaomi but now it will operate on its own.

With so many brands competing in the market such as: Realme, oppo, Vivo, OnePlus being the major ones, Xiaomi was still running the show under different sub-brand names such as Mi series, Redmi series, Poco etc. instead of creating different brands. For your information, Oppo, Vivo, OnePlus and Realme they all belong to the same parent company.

What are the phones released under Poco brand?

Launched almost 1 and half year ago, Poco F1 by Xiaomi was the only phone under the Poco sub-brand. This was the most competitive flagship phone from price to performance and specification point of view.

The then latest Snapdragon 845, a beautiful camera setup with Sony IMX363 camera sensor which produced even better pictures when captured with Google Camera on Poco F1 and the liquid cooling setup for better gaming performance are just a few to tell.

With almost the same features, the OnePlus 6, another flagship phone cost around Rs. 37,000 while the Poco F1 cost only Rs. 23,000 for a 128GB internal storage memory variant. Obviously, this was a true flagship killer and there was no doubt in it.

What does the Poco brand means to everyone?

People are already overwhelmed by so many different models released by Xiaomi.

Well, at least what started as a flagship sub-brand by Xiaomi will now remain as flagship after Poco being made as an independent brand and it would also be quite clear to the consumer that, what Poco as a brand brings to the market.

This is just the beginning. There are many more Poco phones waiting to be released after this to kill other brands and dominate in the market, again.

That’s all for now. Stay tuned for more updates like this.
