With the source code release of Android lollipop developers around has already started porting it to corresponding devices. Popular custom ROMs like Cyanogenmod is also being ported to devices by the developers. The official builds for certain devices started rolling out but not yet available for most of the devices out there. Developer BMc08GT has ported the CyanogenMod 12 Android Lollipop for Motorola Moto X.

Installing custom ROM requires a custom recovery to be installed on your device, which may VOID your warranty and may delete all your data.
Before proceeding further you may consider backup your all data. Understand that YOU are the only person making changes to your phone. Neither we nor the developer can be held responsible for the disaster that may happen to your device after following this guide.KNOWN ISSUES:
– Incall audio on outgoing calls. FIX: Toggle Speaker phone on/off
– Whatsapp mic issue

COMING FROM OTHER ROM:
Before starting the installation I strongly recommend to take backup of your applications, personal data or take a complete nandroid backup.
STEP 1:Copy the ROM, GApps and SuperuserSU zip file packages to your phone.
STEP 2:Reboot into recovery, Wipe Data and Cache
STEP 3:Install the ROM, Gapps and superuser zip.
STEP 4:Reboot your phone to enjoy the ROOTed CyanogenMod 12 Android Lollipop on your Motorola Moto X.
UPGRADE CyanogenMod 12 to a NEW RELEASE:
Just download the ROM zip package and flash it.
