Redmi Y3 starts receiving Android 10 update!

Xiaomi pushes major updates for its smartphones only for a year. And, later it will not push any other updates. The brand currently is rolling out MIUI 12 on top of Android 10 for its eligible devices. The brand has started rolling out the Android 10 on top of MIUI 11 for its Redmi Y3. As of now, the update is only live for users in China. The new update will come as an OTA and will take some time to reach your unit.

The new update comes with the version number V11.0.1.0.QFLCNXM. If you haven’t received the update, you can install it manually.

It is worth noting that, since China, units have already received the update. The update for the Global units may arrive soon. Further, the new update brings a ton of changes in privacy protection and many more. This will be the final major Android update for the device. Though, the brand will still continue to push MIUI updates. It is worth noting that, the MIUI 12 for the device isn’t pushed by the brand. The brand will push it sometime later.
