A few weeks before, Xiaomi has rolled out Android 10 update for its budget smartphone i.e. Redmi 7a. Although, the update doesn’t come with the new MIUI 12. The MIUI 12 was scheduled for a future date i.e. in phase 2 of MIUI 12 rollout. The brand has started its second phase starting from August 2020. Similar to Redmi 7a, the Redmi 7 was also listed in phase two. A few months before, the brand was pushing Android 10 in China.
However, due to certain unknown reasons, the brand stopped the rollout of Android 10. That update came with the version number V11.0.1.0.QFLCNXM. It seems that Xiaomi has fixed all the issues and restarted rolling out the Android 10 update in China. The new update comes with the version number 11.0.2.0.QFLCNXM. Sadly, this update also comes with the older MIUI 11. It means that users have to wait more for the MIUI 12 update.
Usually, Xiaomi uses to give an update for its Chinese variants first. Later, the brand used to push updates for Indian and Global units. The Global & Indian users have to wait a bit more for receiving the update. The update rolls out as OTA and will take some time to reach your unit. The manual download link is also available below. Here is the official changelog.
