Realme 6i : Just a Realme 6?

Realme launched their new Realme 6i on 24th July 2020, which comes with some minor upgrades on the Realme 6. The Realme 6i is basically aimed at Redmi’s latest offering, the Redmi Note 9. Let’s dig right in !

Display

The phone comes with a 6.50-inch Full HD+ In-cell LCD which has a resolution of 2400 x 1080 Pixels. This display is great at this price as it is big and very smooth because of its 90 Hz refresh rate which improves the gaming experience. Realme 6 also had a 6.50-inch display with 90Hz whereas Redmi Note 9 has a 60Hz display, which is quite disappointing when compared to latest market trends.

 Camera

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Realme 6i on the rear packs a quad-camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary camera, a second 8-megapixel camera, a third 2-megapixel camera, and a fourth 2-megapixel camera which has 10 x Digital Zoom, autofocus, ultra-wide-angle and Face detection. On the front, it has a punch hole 16MP camera for selfies. The camera is good but strangely  Realme 6 had a slightly better camera, which clicked great pictures and shot video with High Dynamic Range mode.

Performance

The Realme 6i runs Realme UI based on Android 10 and packs 64GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 256GB) and it is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G90T processor which is a very fast processor compared to the MediaTek Helio G85 in Redmi note 9. The real me 6 also has the same processor as Realme 6i. Its processor is user friendly. Realme 6i comes in two RAM variants- 4GB and 6GB. Both smartphones come with 64GB internal storage.

Battery

It is powered by a massive 4,300 mAh battery which is enough for all your work and it comes with a 30W Flash Charge which will charge the completely in 55 mins. Realme 6 also had the same battery whereas Redmi Note 9 had a bigger battery of 5020 mAh. Battery department is more or less should not be a thing to worry about.

Conclusion

So Realme 6i is not different from the Realme 6 but it supports 30W quick charger and has an ultra-wide camera lens and Realme 6i is a better option than Redmi note 9 because of its better processor and G90T provides a better gaming experience. The Realme 6i is available in two colors- White Milk and Green Tea.
