OnePlus started with value for money flagships and ended being true flagships smartphones. The brand is the largest premium smartphone brand in countries like India. In 2020, the brand has launched three smartphones. These are OnePlus 8, 8 Pro, and Nord. Nord is the first mid-range device from the brand. The brand will also launch some more smartphones this year i.e. the 8T series, and sometimes Nord’s trimmed version. A new OnePlus device has been listed in Geekbench which will be the upcoming OnePlus 8T.
Usually, the “T” series is launched in late Q3 or early Q4 of the year. The new device which is listed is running on Android 11. So, we can expect the normal ‘T’ series to run on Android 11 out of the box. As usual, the news comes from Nashville Chatterclass. The device comes with the model number OnePlus KB2001. Apart from this, some of the key specifications have also been revealed by the listing.
Surprisingly, the device will sport the Snapdragon 865 SoC which will pair with 8GB of RAM. Many of our readers may be surprised by seeing this. Because OnePlus’s ‘T” series usually comes with the most powerful SoC out there. Currently, the Snapdragon 865+ is the most powerful SoC which is present in the market. Recently, a couple of devices were launched with the same.
The OnePlus 8T scores 912 points in single-core tests and 3299 in multi-core tests. So yeah, the SoC is the same as OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro. But the device will have better cameras, faster-charging support (both wired and wireless) than the OnePlus 8, and will also get some other extra features. However, this is the initial leak, and it will continue to leak soon. We will update once that information is out.
