OnePlus 8/8 Pro receives Hydrogen OS 11 update in China!

Few days before OnePlus announced that Hydrogen OS 11 will be launching on August 10. The brand has launched the same. On the same date, they pushed Android 11 Beta 3 for the OnePlus 8/8 Pro in China. They have made the link public. The users of both devices can download and enjoy the same. OnePlus calls this as Developer Preview 2 which is based on the new Android 11 Beta 3. As most of you know, the Developer Preview 1 came with the Android 11 Beta 2.

However, those weren’t mentioned as Hydrogen OS 11 because OnePlus didn’t release the same on that date. For the international variants of OnePlus 8/8 Pro, it received two updates. Out of this, the first Developer Preview was built on top of Android 11 Beta 1. And the other one was built on top of Beta 2. The international variant is soon expected to receive the third Developer Preview. However, it will receive when OnePlus announces the whole new Oxygen OS 11.

Some of you may have confusion that, why the Chinese version received two Developer updates. The brand focuses on its Global markets because their most users are from Global markets. Technically speaking, there isn’t much difference between Oxygen OS and Hydrogen OS. Hydrogen OS is the Chinese version which doesn’t have Google Play Services.
