Mi Mix 2s will not receive official Android 11 update!

Flagship Android smartphones from most of the brands only receive two major Android updates. This is the case where Apple leads, that the latest iOS 14 will be pushed to the old iPhone 6s which was launched back in 2015. Even Google pushes Android 11 for its smartphones from 2017. A new report on the web suggests that the Mi Mix 2s will not receive the Android 11 update.

Xiaomi launched the device back in 2018 with solid specifications. It’d been two years since the launch of Mix 2s. The device will receive MIUI 12 update on top of Android 10. That said, the device sports the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC. As per Xiaomi Firmware updater, the Android 10 will be the last major update. It is unclear whether MIUI updates will continue or not.

Unfortunately it won't get it.

Xiaomi Firmware Updater is an open-source community that provides firmware packages for Xiaomi smartphones. When launched the device was running on Android 8 Oreo. And later, the Android 9 Pie update was rolled out for the device. Since Mi Mix 2s is active in Custom Rom development it will receive unofficial Android 11 updates.
