LG has said that the LG Velvet will go official on the online event that will go online on May 7th in South Korea. Now before the event, the brand has revealed the specification of the device through a blog post. The brand is yet to tell the pricing of the smartphone, which will be unveiling on the online event.

The LG Velvet features for a 6.8-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution and has a waterdrop style notch. It has an aspect ratio of 20:5:9. This OLED display also comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner. Underneath the LG Velvet, it sports the Qualcomm Snapdragon and pairs with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and with 128GB of UFS 2.1 onboard storage. The storage is further expandable via the micro SD card up to 1TB. The device runs on the Android 10 out of the box.

Coming to the optics side, the LG Velvet sports a triple rear camera setup that arranges in a raindrop inspired structure. This camera setup includes a primary 48MP Sony IMX 582 sensor. This sensor pairs with an 8MP ultra wide-angle sensor, and a tertiary a 5MP depth sensor, and LED flash. It comes with features like Quad binning technology, Voice Out Focus, ASMR recording feature, and more. To the front, the device comes with a 16MP sensor.

The LG Velvet packs a 4,300mAh battery with support for fast charging, and 10W wireless charging. It is available in four colour options, namely the Aurora White, Aurora Gray, Aurora Green, and Illusion Sunset. Other features include stereo speakers and Artificial Intelligence Sound that automatically analyzes the content and sets the optimal audio quality. The device will go on sale from May 15th in South Korea, and there is no wording about the global launch.
