Huawei has been launching new smartphones in different countries. A new device has been listed in Jordan, which is the Huawei Y8s. It is a mid-range smartphone from the brand and gets pretty decent specifications.

The Huawei Y8s features a 6.6-inch IPS display with a Full HD+ resolution and a traditional notch. It has an aspect ratio of 19:5:9, a screen to body ratio of 82.8%, and a pixel density of 396 Pixel Per Inch (PPI). Underneath the Huawei Y8s, it sports the older HiSilicon Kirin 710, which we have seen on a dozen smartphones. The SoC pairs with 4GB of RAM, and 64GB or 128GB of onboard storage. It is also expandable via the micro SD card. The smartphone runs on EMUI 9.1 on top of Android 9 Pie without Google Play services.
Coming to the optics, the device sports a dual rear camera setup, and is aligned to the left of the back panel. The structure includes a primary 48MP sensor with f/1.8 aperture and PDAF. It pairs with a secondary 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. Further, it gets a single LED flash and support for 1080p recording. To the front, the wide notch includes an 8MP primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture and a secondary 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor.
The Huawei Y8s packs a 4,000mAh battery and charges over the micro USB port. It is available in Emerald Green and Midnight Black color options. However, the brand didn’t announce the pricing of the device, and we expect they will announce soon.
