After the US trade ban, Huawei is trying hard to compete in the global markets. That said, the brand is improving its experience smoother by providing updates that also contains new features. Huawei’s EMUI wasn’t so user friendly until EMUI 9.1. But, with the EMUI 10 update, the brand made a ton of changes and most of the persons loved it. Apple’s Facetime is one of the most common features which is used by its users. Similar to Facetime, Huawei has introduced its MeeTime with the EMUI 10.1

Apart from this, EMUI 10.1 had a lot of changes including new features. With this article, we will have a close look at Huawei’s MeeTime. It can do 1080p video calls by using Mobile Data or Wi-Fi. The quality in this is way head than WhatsApp, Instagram, and other social media apps. Even in low light conditions, the app tries to push awesome outputs.

Just like Zoom & Google Meet, it also supports for Screen Sharing. It’s a good initiative because small meetings can be conducted within this. If we opt for other apps, we will have to compromise on quality. Other features include including a beauty mode and 360-degree background switching. What’s more interesting is that you guys can switch calls between Huawei devices.

That said, you can divert between speakers, tablets, and smart TVs. Interestingly, you can even use drones and motion cameras to share videos in real-time with the MeeTime app. Currently, the feature is available only in a few countries. The interesting point here is that the list includes only a single African country, all others are Asian countries. That said, there are no European countries on the list. India isn’t present on the list because the brand hasn’t yet launched its supported phones in the Indian market. We will also include the supported phones list below the supported countries list.

How to access MeeTime in your Huawei device!

Please make sure that your device is set to any one of the above regions. That said, you Huawei id should also have the same region. Now follow the steps which we have mentioned below to access the whole new Mee-Time.

The feature will appear as a Tab in your default phone/contacts app. You can simply tap that tab for enabling the feature. Further, as said your Huawei ID should have the registered number of above-mentioned regions, the device should also be in the region. Currently, the feature is limited to these countries. We will update the article, once they’ve increased the support.
