(update) Huawei finished rolling out EMUI 10.1 in China!

Huawei has begun the global rollout of EMUI 10.1/ Magic UI 3.1 for its smartphones. In China, the update was started rolling out in April itself. According to Huawei, the brand has finished the testing of the new version of EMUI/ Magic UI in China. Only one device is left, and it will be commencing soon. You can see the list of smartphones received updates in China.

A few months back, Huawei unveiled its P40 series which came with a new version of EMUI i.e. EMUI 10.1. The brand has almost finished updating its smartphones to EMUI 10 on top of Android 10. Now, the brand wishes to expand the new 10.1 to its some of the smartphones. In terms of changes, the new version of EMUI doesn’t have major changes while comparing with EMUI 10.

Some of the devices have already started receiving the update, while some others will receive it soon. We will list all the smartphones which are eligible, and categorize according to the different regions. If it’s carrier-locked versions, the update schedule may vary between markets. The detailed schedule of smartphones in Europe receiving EMUI 10.1 & Magic UI 3.1 is listed at the end. The following are the eligible devices for the new EMUI 10.1 update.

Before getting into the schedule of the update for these smartphones, let’s have a closer look at EMUI 10.1.

As said, the new version doesn’t have a significant improvement over the previous version. Yes, it does come with some new features, and an improvement in performance, and security. The new features include Huawei MeeTime and Multi-Window. It also improves along with the capabilities of the already existing Multi-Screen Collaboration. Further, there are a lot of new themes, and the brand has included a new Huawei Share option. This share option is similar to Airdrop, realme Share, and Nearby Share by Google.
