Honor has launched its first phone without Google Mobile Services in the Indian market. It’s the Honor 9X Pro which comes with Huawei’s AppGallery instead of the Google Mobile Services. Earlier, this year the brand has launched the Honor 9X with the older Kirin 710F chipset. Now, the Pro variant has been revealed by the brand.

The Honor 9X Pro sports a 6.59 inches LTPS IPS LCD with a Full HD+ resolution, and doesn’t have any notches. It has a pixel density of 391 PPI, an aspect ratio of 19:5:9, and a screen to body ratio of 84.3%. Underneath, it features the HiSilicon Kirin 810 which is built on the 7nm process. The chipset pairs with 6GB of RAM, and 256GB of onboard storage. Further, it is expandable via the micro SD card up to 512GB. It runs on EMUI 9.1 on top of Android 9 Pie, which is upgradable to Android 10.
The Honor 9X Pro features a quad-rear camera in a vertical setup to the left of the rear panel. The setup includes a primary 48MP Sony IMX 582 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. It pairs with a secondary 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with a field of view of 120° and f/2.4 aperture. Finally, it gets a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. There will be no Huawei or Honor device without a 2MP depth sensor. It is seldom to see such devices. To the front, it gets a motorized pop-up like the Honor 9X. The pop-up includes a 16MP sensor with an f/2.2 aperture.
It gets a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and support for face unlock. The device will be available in color options like Midnight Black, and Phantom Purple. It packs a 4,000mAh battery, and charges over the USB type C port. Honor is allowing its selected customers for early sales where you can get it for Rs 14,999. The actual pricing starts at Rs 17,999 and is available through Flipkart. Well, we can see, if Indians prefer a smartphone without Google Mobile Services in the coming days.
