Last night, Google unveiled its whole new Android 11 for the public. Pixel smartphones have already started receiving the latest update. Unlike older times, this time, the latest Android 11 is available for non-pixel devices too. Earlier today, we posted an article about the latest open beta of the OnePlus 8 series. However, OnePlus has only pushed the new update for the Global units. Even though it was for Global teams, interestingly, it can also be installed in the Indian and European units too.
OnePlus had mentioned that some of the features might not work after installing the same in the other variants. Some of the users have already updated to the beta version. A user recently took out to XDA forums that Google Pay isn’t working for him after the update. He has been in Oxygen OS 11 right when OnePlus released the developer preview edition. Google Pay wasn’t working even in developer preview, so he waited for the Open Beta.
But he says that even after the open beta, he couldn’t access the same. We checked the profile of the user and saw that he is from France. So, he will be using the European variant of the OnePlus 8 Pro. However, someone replied that he should wait for the stable update. We hope that the issue will be fixed when the brand starts pushing the stable update.
