Samsung launched its new M51 smartphone on 31st August 2020. Samsung Galaxy M51 comes with some brilliant features and new upgrades from its predecessor M31. Let’s also compare it with the OnePlus Nord.
Display
The Samsung Galaxy M51 comes with a 6.70-inch Super AMOLED Plus display and a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. This display is very impressive as it is bigger and provides a great gaming experience, but it has a refresh rate of 60Hz whereas Oneplus Nord has a 6.44-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. The higher refresh rate 90Hz display on the OnePlus Nord certainly gives it an edge over the competition.
Camera
Samsung Galaxy M51 packs a quad-rear camera setup with a primary 64MP camera, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5MP macro sensor, and a 5MP depth sensor. OnePlus Nord, on the other hand, packs a 48MP quad-rear camera setup, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 5MP depth sensor. On the front, Samsung Galaxy M51 packs a punch-hole 32MP camera, while the OnePlus Nord has a 32MP dual-front camera setup and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. Samsung Galaxy M51 has higher resolution sensors but the ultra-wide-angle front shooter on the OnePlus Nord gives it an advantage.
Performance
Both the phones have the Android 10 operating system as their OS. Samsung Galaxy M51 packs an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor and OnePlus Nord sports an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC, OnePlus Nord features a better and newer SoC compared to the one found on the Samsung Galaxy M51. The processor on Oneplus Nord is faster than M51.
Battery
Samsung M51 is a monster in terms of its battery capacity, it has a battery of 7,000 mAh which comes with a 25W fast charger. On the other hand, OnePlus Nord packs a 4,115mAh battery with 30W WRAP charging support. The battery capacity on the OnePlus Nord is good enough but Samsung Galaxy M51 packs roughly 80% extra battery compared to it.
Conclusion
Samsung M51 is a great phone with impressive specs but OnePlus Nord gets an advantage over the Samsung Galaxy M51 as it packs a 90Hz refresh rate display, a faster processor, and supports 5G. Samsung M51 is launching two memory variants, 6/128GB and 8GB/128GB, priced at Rs 24,999, and Rs 26,999, respectively. The device will be available in two colors – Electric Blue and Celestial Black.
