LineageOS 21

As per the version number the LineageOS 21 will be based on Android 14. As of now the Android 14 is still in developer preview 2 and is expected to be released on August 2023.

It is foolish to expect LineageOS 21 for any device because the base Android version 14 is not yet available for public usage.

When LineageOS 21 will be Released?

As I wrote earlier that as of now Android 14 is not available, but it is expected to be available in August 14. Based on this, LineageOS 21 will also be available for various devices from various developers after that.

If you did not get the latest build for your phone, and if you want to install some older updates then here is the list of all LineageOS 19 builds available till now.

Will My Phone Get LineageOS 21 Update?

This is the most awaited and relevant question for most of the users, but honestly even I do not know when these builds come for a phone. It is the developer who port the LineageOS 21 for specific device(s) based on their interest and their free time.

Because of this, the builds for different devices are very much scattered and not predictable which devices may have active developers to bring the LineageOS 21 at this point of time.

Many age old devices like Xiaomi Mi 3, Moto X Play etc. have got LineageOS 17.1 and other older LineageOS builds just because they all have some active developer(s) working towards.

So, it is not predictable to make a list of LineageOS 21 supported devices but you can use the past list of LineageOS 19, LineageOS 18 and 18.1 or the LineageOS 17 to get a basic idea.

Google Camera for LineageOS 21

With the Android 14 update the Google Camera or GCam was also updated to version 9.0 and later.

LineageOS 21 which will be based on Android 14 can only be expected to be available around August 2023 or after the Android 14 official public release.
